In the middle of the day, the sun was rising above a small town, a girl was seen in the streets. Not far from her she saw 2 cars driving away. Each their directions. But she didn't need anything from those people, she was searching for a building. "Something with a green home sign. It has to be somewhere here", she talked to herself as she was looking around.
That's when she saw a sign saying: "Protect our right to live green home residents". The snow made it difficult to read but she still managed to find it. She looked from far behind to the big building that she has been seeking for a month now. "Finally!",she smiled to herself in joy. "Pfff, they really didn't know when to start an apocalypse. They really had to hit me with one when i am in an unfamiliar place", the girl sighed to herself as usual. She put the picture in her hand, that she has been holding for a few minutes now, back in her pocket and took her way to the building that was almost half destroyed. Coming closer to the place she saw 2 body's, one sitting on the ground and an other in the car. She immediately recognised one of them and run as soon as possible. At that very moment she couldn't think about anything beside the wellbeing of that one person on the ground. "Sang Wook! Wake up!", she screamed to the man in front of her. Her view become blurry by the tears that were filling her eyes. It has been a while since she felt any kind of emotions. And at this very moment her heart was filled with sadness as she saw Sang Wook laying there on the ground while blood was leaving his body. She looked beside him and saw the innocent face of a young woman. She checked the heartbeat of that woman and carried her on her back while entering the building.
After searching for a safe place she laid the woman on the floor and went outside again. After a few minutes she came back and sat on the ground beside the woman. The coldness of the flour filled her body and let her shiver for a second. She opened her bag that she has been carrying for her whole "trip". And started examining the woman till she found the different wounds. An other voice was heard. "What are you doing? What if she is infected?"
A few days later.
"When is he gonna wake up alreay?", I heard a voice asking. It was the first thing that I could remember. I opened my eyes slowly and saw a girl looking down on me. In shock I sat straight and looked at her. I knew her...
"Don't get to excited already! Here, your glasses!", she said, more yelling, while handing over my glasses. I put them on and that's when I recognised her immediately. It was her. "Y/n, I- how did u find me?", she looked at me in disgust as always. "Look the country is dying, I got no time to talk to you. Besides that I didn't find you since I was searching for somebody else.", she stood up and opened the door of the room but before leaving she threw a snack towards me that I caught on time. It was my favourite chocolate bar, she still remembers, I thought to myself. With tears filling my eyes and the bitter taste in my mount I tried to eat it quietly. Will there ever be a day where we reunite again? I asked myself thinking about my younger sister, Eun Yu. Would she be fine now? I looked around, this room seemed familiar. It was the same room where Hyun su, Mr. Kim and Ms. An were locked. My heart sank at the thought. If the world had to come to an end than at least I wanted it with beautiful memories.
I stood up and left the room. I heard 2 familiar voices talking. "What do you think about splitting up?", I heard one of them asking the other. "No, not in a world like this. We first have to get the others, since their lives will be at more risk. But on another thought Hyun su's life will be also more at risk the longer he stays with that monster. I don't know, let's just wait until Eun Hyeok is fully recovered", answered the familiar voice of Y/n softly. I lurked at the two girls. And saw Y/n standing infront of a familiar figure, with her back towards me, I couldn't remember who it exactly was. I looked more carefully. "Just come in already instead of standing there!", Y/n yelled at me, I guess, still with her back towards me. How did she knew I was here, I didn't even made any noise? With confusion written all over my face I stepped forward and enjoined their conversation. That's when I could see the other girl, it was Yu-ri. She gave me a weak smile that I responded with a wide smile and a nod. It felt safe seeing a familiar face again in this tuff times.
"Hey, four-eyes! Do you perhaps remember where that safety camp will be?", Y/n asked, yelling, again. I shook my head from left to right, answering her question. "Okay, I'll leave you guys for awhile! I am just going to search for some food. I'll be back soon", Y/n left the both of us without giving us time to question more things. "Are u feeling okay?", asked Yu-ri first breaking the awkward silence. I nodded. "What happened to Sang-Wook?" "I don't know. I stil haven't asked Y/n. But that doesn't matter right now. If he still is around, I am sure he'll be fine. I can feel it. But what matters is the others", I looked confused at her. She took a deep breath. I could see the fear forming in her eyes, she was worried.
It was the look of a pure innocent girl that couldn't even harm a mosquito.

With the thoughts of what the female soldier told me I wandered trough the town. Do I really not wanna know what happened to him? Or am I more scared of the untold truth? I sighed. We have left that building for 2 days already and it feels like I am missing it. It felt like home being there together with others fighting for our lifes, searching for a way to survive. And here I am, all alone. It was not the coldness of the winter that hurt me but it was the coldness coming from the humanity, the monsters, the world that broke me. Taking a break from what I was thinking I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. How did someone succeed in calling trough this circumstances? I grabbed my phone and looked at the ID. Sang-Won is calling...
