"Maam. Maam. Maam!" The cop yelled louder.
"Sorry, " I sighed snapping back to reality.
"Try and pay attention," he scolded,"is Spencer james in gang?"
"What? No."
"Quit trying to protect him," the cop told me.
"I'm telling the truth," I growled.
"What about the girl?"
"She isnt in a gang."
"Then why were you in a gang shooting?" He demanded.
"I don't know officer," I told him.
"Okay. I need you to put your pretty little brain to work. I know you probably dont do it alot, so try for me," the cop snapped.
"I don't know why my friend was shot. I dont know why it happened, or where it happened. I don't even know who did it," I told the cop.
"What about-"
"I'm done being questioned," I said.
"Excuse me?" He demanded.
"I'm a minor. You cant question me without my legal guardians," I said to the cop,"so I'm dont answering questions. Now. Tell me is my friend ks okay?"
"You dont answer my questions I dont answer yours."
"Ace. Are you okay?" Dar all asked coming over.
I'm in the waiting room of the hospital. That's where the cop approached me.
"Yeah. I wasnt injured," I told him.
"Hows Spence?" The cop had left by now.
"Hes not good. Darnell. He may..." I trialed off, not able to finish the sentence.
He just placed his arm around me.
"Your covered in blood, let's take you home to change," he said softly.
"I'm not leaving until I know hes okay," I told him.
"Ace-"
"I'm not leaving until I know hes okay."
Suddenly the billy baker came in.
"Wheres my daughter?"
"Shes in the back. She wasn't shot, but she was hurt."
"Spencer?"
"No news."
"Are you hurt?" He asked me.
"No. Spencer saved me."
Olivia came back after an hour, she too was covered in blood. By then mama grace, dillion, and Jordan were here. I had barely said a word.
"Ace. Oh my god are you okay?" Asher asked running into the hosital.
"I'm fine."
"Olivia?" He asked checking on his girlfriend.
"Small tear."
"I'm sorry to the both of you. I was an ass. And ace, I never should have pushed you," he told us.
"Its okay. Your here now," olivia told him and I just nodded.
After another fifteen minutes they told us Spencer was stable. Then I agreed to let darnell take me back to my place.
