Warning: Swearing will be in use. Minor gore included.
Ethan returned successfully from his father's mansion. He remained in his house throughout Sunday, prepping and studying for his upcoming tests. These meetings would usually take two days but he was thankful that it was shorter than expected. As he was typing on his laptop, he swung his foot forwards and back as he followed the beat to his music. A lazy early evening began to settle in the home. Lofi beats played as the clacking of the keyboard added to the feel of the room. As he was too much in focus, that later broke as he knocked over his black backpack, causing some pencils, the switchblade, and the capsule to fall out.
"Dammit! I forgot I left this shit open." He removed his headphones as he lazily picked up his bag with the other items. He held the items that his father gave to him, wondering where to hide them. Sure, he didn't have many visitors come to his home but Jackson was certainly one of them. Somehow or someway, Jackson seemed to know what Ethan was hiding. Whether it be a dagger or strange items such as a katana, Jackson would be the one to find out. As for Ethan, he's an excellent liar as he explains everything with ease. Simple excuses he used were that it's for self-defense or his family member passing away and items that were passed to him for remembrance.
Now, creating excuses to cover these items are getting harder by each discovery for Ethan. He decides to keep it in the backpack and hopes that Jackson doesn't find this out, or anyone in general. He zips it up and throws it under his desk. A knock on the door brings Ethan's attention.
He sighed as he walked sluggishly to the door, blinking a few times to relax his eyes from the blue light of his laptop. He swung the door open, only to find no one there. A small breeze greeted Ethan as he stepped outside, looking left and right.
"Jackson? If it's you, stop playing games!" No answer. Ethan huffed in frustration as he shoved his glasses back to the bridge of his nose.
The location of his home is right off the edge of the campus which is the opposite side from the main road to exit. He's more distant from other buildings and small houses in general. He's thankful that's he's away from everyone overall.
As he went back to his room to continue his study, shivers quaked against his neck and spine. He ignored it and thought he left the A/C on. Papers and test reviews jumbled upon his desk. His elbow smacked his mug, causing it to tip over the edge as light, cream brown coffee splattered across the wooden floor.
"Fuck!"
He rushed to the kitchen for some paper towels to clean up and felt the air was even chillier than his room. He checked the thermometer and it read 70 degrees.
He suddenly gasped loudly as stinging rush of pain and panic washes over Ethan. He howled in pain as he felt his knees weak. Warm, thick liquid oozed from his neck as he struggled to detach from whatever is causing this. He began to pant heavily.
"G-Get the fuck off!" yelled Ethan.
He clung his hands to the someone behind him as he gave a forceful lean forward, causing the unknown to get body-slammed on the hard wooden floor. Its jaw detaches from Ethan's punctured neck.
Ethan stumbles backward from loss of balance. He strains his eyes to focus on the unknown being. All he saw was a guy wearing an all opaque, black outfit. From the hoodie to the shoes even. An eery, dark chuckle omitted from the being.
"Puny human. Do you think that'll stop me?"
Ethan slithered his hand over his injured neck, applying pressure to stop the excess bleeding. He eyed the being as he huffed for air. The tingly pain was still there like poison.
"Fucking vampire!"
"Wow. Shocker that a human like you know what I truly am." He cackled in excitement as he licked the blood off of his lips. He smiled pleasantly at Ethan. "I'd say, your blood is quite delectable. It would be a shame to let all of this come to a waste."
Ethan's mind spun wildly as he is not physically prepared for this. He lost a decent amount of blood and has nothing nearby to use as a weapon or simple defense.
"This blood is nothing like I've tasted before. How interesting. I shall have more..."
Time is ticking...
The vampire approached closer to Ethan with dangerous intentions, eyeing his neck like prey. The closer he got, the more Ethan's chest tightened.
"Say goodbye..." He whispered delicately in Ethan's ear.
"Hm... I think not." He whispered back, devilishly.
Ethan pulled his strength together to twist the vampire's head around as he stepped onto his foot to keep him in place. The vampire struggled under Ethan's strength as he tried to cling onto anything around him until a loud, but fast, crack echoed the room. The killer's body relaxed as it lifelessly slipped under Ethan's grip. A heavy plop fell beneath Ethan as he huffed for air after putting extreme stress on his weakened body.
"Ugh... what a fucking mess," he groaned.
While dragging his bloody self to the bathroom to treat the wounds, he contacted his father to notify one of the three is dead. Once finished with disinfecting and treating his horribly large wound, he patched it up with a large gauze bandage. He wrapped it around his underarm and mid-shoulder about 5 times and ensured that it was tight and loose enough. He decides to test the knife that his father gave to him on his new specimen.
As the knife punctured through the heart, the layer of skin turned to a porcelain white. Its hair revealed a midnight black as the irises transform into a blood red. Fangs seemed to extend longer for who knows what. Ethan just stared in curiosity as it slowly revealed its true self. Some blood spilled, but Ethan didn't bother to notice. He took note that the neck was extremely disfigured as it bent in an unnatural manner.
Ethan simply smirked.
Knock Knock Knock
"Yo, Ethan! Open up!"
"Oh, fuck..."
