a ghosting (an undertale oc story)

chapter 4

i end up behind a wall of rock where i then see chara kill yet another monster. i sigh and watch her, she murders several monsters before moving onto the next area in waterfall. it makes me mad that she continued on, like our fight didn't exist. though i know papyrus is going to try again but i hope i can get to her first. eventually she decided it was time to sleep, 'about time' i thought yawning, i put my back against the wall and slid down it until i was sitting on the floor 'at least i can finally get some rest' i thought as i felt my eyes get heavy, i heard the soft snoring of chara and finally went to sleep myself.

-dream-

i was floating in a black abyss. i looked around for anybody but there was no one. then like a rush of water i heard a familliar voice 

"anonymous"

it was the same voice that told me the stay determined, brave, justified, kind, patient, respectful, and stubborn. i again look around but see nothing 

"who are you?" i say into the darkness, nothing came for a few seconds then . . .

"anonymous . . . you are in danger"

my heart rate begun climbing as the voice went on 

"the different souls inside you are unstable"

"i have multiple souls?" i say in confusion

"yes, they are combined into the soul that's in your eye" 

i cover the eye that has the soul in it "what's going on" . . . the voice doesn't answer. instead a tall skeleton appears, he had multiple hands floating around him.

"those souls are unstable, it could lead to the timeline your in to collapse"

i stare up at the skeleton "what's . . . a timeline?" the skeleton sighs in frustration 

"just do as the souls tell you, and you should be fine" 

i frown, 'so the different voices in my head are the different souls?'

"yes, do as the souls tell you and eventually the souls will become stable once more. do not push yourself, is that clear?" 

i feel myself shift until i was in a standing position, but i wasn't standing on anything "but what if something happens?" the skeleton seems to be remembering something . . .

"do what you feel is right"

i smile at him "what's your name by the way?" i ask as i feel myself start to wake up . . . the skeleton fades into the background 

"ever heard of W.D gaster?"

-end dream-

i slowly open my eyes and see i was in a bed. the soft blanket was so comfortable i wanted to go back to sleep. i suddenly jump up realizing i was in a bed, i definitely didn't fall asleep in a bed. i look around, my heart rate quickening. there was a magic torrnadow in the corner, and the rest of the room looked clean. i then realized my scarf wasn't on my face. i quickly cover my eye that had the soul in it and stand up . . . no body could've seen my eye because i was asleep.

looking around i decide to look outside the room. i walk over to the door opening it slowly, still covering my eye i look out into the house . . . only to realize this is sans and papyrus's house. i relax a bit but keep my eye covered. i walk down the stairs and into the living room where sans sat on the couch, seeming to be asleep. i hear humming from in the kitchen and peek inside to see papyrus. 

he was mixing questional ingrediants together in some kind of pasta. i relax and step into the kitchen, papyrus notices me and gasps "HUMAN!! YOU HAVE AWOKEN!" i nod "what's . . . wrong with your eye?" he questions confused. i smile "nothing, i just don't like people to see my eyes" i say obviously lying, but he shrugged it off "OK, I MADE PASTA, DO YOU WANT SOME?" i nod then fix my hair so it was covering my eye "SIT DOWN AND I WILL GET SANS" he then walks into the living room "SANS!! WAKE UP, OUR GUEST IS UP AND SO SHOULD YOU!" i then see both sans and papyrus walk into the kitchen, sans sits down and looks at me "heya kid" he says making me frown "im 19"

he shrugs "eh guess your just short" he smirks making me blush "im not short, your short!!" i squeal, papyrus sets a plate of pasta down in front of sans and smiles "both of you are short to me" he stands proudly then sits down. i smile and try a bite of pasta . . . i hesitantly swallow and hold back a gag "WELL" papyrus looks at me with stars in his eyes, i couldn't say no to him, "it's delicious" i say with a fake smile. sans sighs in relief and papyrus smiles proudly "I KNOW, AREN'T I AWESOME NYEH HEH HEH HEH"

"you sure are bro" sans says before making a pun, i laugh and take another bite, trying hard not to spit it out. i finish the rest only to hear static erupt from my mind, "A!! you need to get out of there, now!!" then the static stopped. i jump up startling sans and papyrus "well, it's been nice but i thing i'm going to have to leave" i say in a panic "ALRIGHT HUMAN, SEE YOU LATER" papyrus waves as i rush out the door. 

just as i run out chara was walking slowly towards me . . . with an arrow in hand 'the hell!?' i think as chara smiles at me creepily. we stand face to face 'don't fight, run!' one of the voices say, it was a different one than the earlier voice, it sounded calm 'is she going to chase me' i ask as i sweatdropped. chara seemed to be sizing me up . . . great

'what am i supposed to do!?'
