The Middle Uchiha

Chapter 8

After I had regain consciousness from passing out after fighting Itachi I put on some white shorts and blue v neck with the Uchiha symbol on the back and headed to the kitchen. I saw my parents and both of my brothers there. No one had heard me approach until Sasuke had come over and said something.
"Big sister! Are you feeling better? Your match with Itachi was so cool! Even if I only saw parts of it! Can you and him spar again so I can see all of it!" Sasuke said and hugged my legs.
"Come on Sasuke leave your sister alone. She just got done resting." Our mother said.
"No, it's fine mom. Sure Sasuke, but I have to see when Itachi is free okay?" I said with a smile and he nodded and ran back to the table to finish eating.
My mom set a plate of food on the table and I sat right across Itachi with father on my left.
It was silent until father spoke up.
"Good job on your match with Itachi. I am indeed impressed." Our father said shocking me.
"Thank you father." I said as I took a bite of food.
"I am wondering though, how is it that you were able to do some of your jutsu without using hand signs?" My father asked.
"What?! Sister you can do that!" Sasuke said raising his voice in surprise.
"Lower your voice Sasuke." Our mother scolded him.
"Since Itachi and I were in the academy. Although I had to use hand signs in order to pass I didn't really need them though." I said.
"But how do you do it? This could be a great advantage for our clan." My father said.
"I can't really explain it, but I do not wish to be a tool for our clan to use just to be used against other clans. If you'll excuse me. Thank you for breakfast mother." I said giving her and my father a slight bow and headed back to my room.
The I then grabbed ninja tools, my fans, and put my headband around my neck. This is another reason I was different from other Uchiha members. I didn't wear my headband around my forehead. I grabbed a basket and then my sandles. I walked passed my family in the kitchen still. Mom was handing Sasuke his lunch.
"Where are you off to?" my father asked noticing me causing my mother and brothers to notice as well.
"I'm going to collect some herbs." I said. "Sasuke if you want me to walk with you to the academy I can since it's on my way." I said.
"Okay!" Sasuke said excitedly and ran to grab the rest of his stuff.
He then came back and waved to everyone as we walked out the door.
"Sister can you train with me tomorrow?" Sasuke asked.
"Sorry Sasuke I can't. I have a mission." I said.
"Oh okay." Sasuke said sadly.
"But how about after you come home from the academy today I train with you if you're not too tired." I said.
"Okay!" Sasuke said.
We then arrived at the academy.
"Bye big sister." Sasuke said and ran off. I then began my search for some herbs I could use for medical purposes. After I was done looking around. I started to head home but was caught off guard when I was slammed into a wall. I looked up and went to kick the guy, but he jumped out of the way. I looked up and saw my ex-boyfriend. This wasn't going to be good.

(Should courtney's boyfriend be a made up character? If so what clan should he be from?)
