ⅰ. powers ― if your oc is an experiment, keep their powers reasonable. make drawbacks that debilitate or relate to their powers! (ex. your oc has fire powers that cause them to overheat and can cause heatstroke if abused)
ⅱ. reasonable ― use context. i doubt it would make sense for your oc to be half-demon or have cat ears and a tail. nothing wrong with that, it just doesn't fit the universe!
ⅲ. mary/gary sue ― remember that your character is a person, and that they have both flaws and strengths. nobody is perfect, and making mistakes is normal.
ⅳ. romanticisation ― don't romanticize dark topics please. mental illness, self harm, etc. are no joke and not something to be taken lightly. it can also trigger people. so please be reasonable.
ⅴ. love interest ― some characters i do not feel comfortable portraying in a romantic light. this includes billy hargrove, the adults (hopper, joyce, & alexei), and erica. this list is bound to change though!
ⅵ. tagging ― yes you can tag!
ⅶ. limit ― you can have more than one oc, but i'd say keep it to two or three. it's hard to keep track after that.
