It was such a relief that the PR plan worked out perfectly and helped with the popularity of the upcoming drama while drawing the attention away from Luo Hua's sexuality. It was almost a blessing in disguise. Almost.

"We have another letter," Li Jun threw the red envelope onto the coffee table.

"Again?" Luo Hua joined Cheng Hao and Li Jun in the living room with a towel on his shoulders, "it is getting on my nerves," he said irritated, throwing the towel onto the sofa.

Cheng Hao nodded in agreement and opened the envelope as it was his duty, and placed the letter neatly on the table.

Luo Luo how can you let something like that happen! I know you are so innocent but look what happened! HOW DARE HIM TO TOUCH WHAT IS MINE?! I will handle it don't worry

your eternal love

Reading the letter, the trio kept their silence for a while until Cheng Hao broke it.

"She is losing control, she doesn't even care about the structure which she was very careful before, we should be extra careful from now on," he said while locking his fingers with Luo Hua's. He took a mental note to notify the police as now the letter was threatening.

"Do you think she knows it is you?" Luo Hua asked with fear. The last thing he wanted was Cheng Hao to get hurt because of him.

"She doesn't ask who is the person, but she also doesn't use my name, so I am not sure."

"Can't she just leave me alone and be a fan of Zhang Rui?"

Li Jun chuckled, "that would be awesome!" he said while Cheng Hao just smiled, being proud of the unwavering sense of humour of his lover no matter how serious the situation was.

However, after Li Jun left, Luo Hua's strong demeanour cracked enough for Cheng Hao to see how anxious the actor actually was. He was tapping his foot and nibbling his bottom lip with a blank expression on his face.

Cheng Hao's heart was broken, seeing his restless lover. He could only imagine how scared he was as it was his first time experiencing something like that. Don't worry, I will protect you at any cost, he promised inwardly while sitting next to him.

However, his lover didn't acknowledge his presence, he was too immersed in his thoughts. Cheng Hao put his hand on his tapping foot, stopping him. Only then, Luo Hua realized his lover was sitting next to him with a sad look on his face.

"I was thinking about the shooting," he lied with a smile which didn't reach his eyes.

Then a sudden idea came into Cheng Hao's mind. Grabbing Luo Hua's hand, he asked "is there something you always wanted to do when you have a lover?"

Luo Hua's eyes lit, "why, you want to do it with me?"

Cheng Hao rubbed his nape, suddenly feeling shy, "well, as long as it is not something like going to Paris with a jet, we could try to do it, you know..."

Luo Hua saved his hand from Cheng Hao's grip to cup his lover's blushed face. Such an angel he was. "Actually, I really have something I always wanted to do with my lover," he said with sparkles in his eyes.

"And it is..."

"Cooking dinner!" Luo Hua said excitedly and Cheng Hao thought he misheard him.

"What?" He asked for confirmation.

"I said cooking in my kitchen," Luo Hua repeated.

Cooking? Really? Cheng Hao was startled. A famous, handsome guy like him had the simplest dream one could ever have.

Misunderstanding Cheng Hao's silence, Luo Hua asked with disappointment "don't you know how to cook?"

"I am an excellent cook," Cheng Hao reassured him and Luo Hua threw himself on him with a huge grin. The bodyguard held his lover tight in his arms, silently thanking the destiny for bringing Luo Hua to his lonely life.

When they broke the hug, the duo got dressed to go to the market to buy the necessary ingredients. As Luo Hua didn't want anyone to spoil their date, he wore a cap, a mask and a pair of sunglasses to cover his face.

Seeing him all covered, Cheng Hao let out a soft chuckle, "even I can't recognise you like this," he teased the actor, "be sure to stick with me otherwise I can't find you in the market."

"I am glad you are enjoying," Luo Hua mimicked Cheng Hao's tone and wore his black hoodie's hood on his cap.

Although the actor was super cute when he was annoyed, Cheng Hao didn't want to upset him on their date, so he pulled him towards him. "Maybe we should hold hands to be sure we stick together, what do you think?"

Luo Hua's mood changed immediately. Interlocking their fingers, he said "it sounds like a good idea."

Twenty minutes later, the duo was strolling around in the market, grabbing the necessary ingredients for Luo Hua's dream menu. They pushed the shopping card together as they were still holding hands. Although few pairs of curious eyes looked at their interlocked fingers, Luo Hua's camouflage worked very well as nobody noticed who he was. As a result, the duo shopped and flirted as they wished and after Cheng Hao paid the purchase, they went back home with genuine smiles on their face.

"When did you learn how to cook?" Luo Hua asked curiously, seeing Cheng Hao's extraordinary cutting skills.

"My mom was a cook, so I can say that I literally grew up in the kitchen," the bodyguard replied with an indistinct smile, "how about you?" He asked, pointing the edge of his knife at Luo Hua's massacred cucumbers, "why are you so bad at cooking?"

Luo Hua looked at the cucumbers with a grimace, "I have never cooked before," he admitted with an apparent shame in his voice.

"Really, why?" Cheng Hao asked, his attention was still on the vegetables he was cutting, so he didn't see the melancholy in his lover's eyes. If he saw, he would never ask further.

"My mom hates cooking," Luo Hua decided to share his bad childhood memories with Cheng Hao. He trusted him with his life, so why not also with his memories?

Hearing the uneasy tone, Cheng Hao stopped cutting and shifted his gaze on his lover, "who cooked in the house then?"

"We had an aunty for cooking and cleaning," he paused for a second, then continued, "she forbade me to go to the kitchen, saying I could mess around."

"Did you tell this to your mom?" Cheng Hao asked softly.

"She doesn't care about me much because she hated my father. Do you know what, she never sat and ate with me. Never. It was a forced marriage, so it was the happiest day of her life when my father died in a car accident and I went to a boarding school," Luo Hua chuckled bittersweetly.

"I am so sorry, babe," Cheng Hao felt the tears pricked his eyes. No wonder, cooking a homemade meal was Lu Hua's dream date. He just desperately needed someone to replace the bad memories with happy ones. He rubbed his lover's back gently and said "then I will teach you how to cook and you are definitely welcomed to the kitchen when I cook."

"Aww, you are sooo sweet, thank you," Luo Hua let go of the poor cucumbers and circled his arms around Cheng Hao, kissing him passionately. Two caring sentences from his lover and he immediately felt heaps better.

Cheng Hao kissed Luo Hua with the same passion and the duo had to pause the cooking for a while until Luo Hua was back to his merry self. Then, they continued to cook and in an hour, there were five different dishes on the table.

"Are you sure you can eat them all?" Cheng Hao asked, pouring some wine to the glasses.

"Yes, I am sure," the actor nodded with a reassuring smile and raised his glass for a toast, "to you, my safe haven!"

"No, to you, my bubbly gum," Cheng Hao uttered with a grin and clinked the glasses while Luo Hua was busy laughing.

So, the lovers sat together on the table, eating and drinking wine all night long. Although they had some serious problems to deal with, that night, there was nothing other than love and laughter.
