Alexander's point of view

The morning sun shines through the half closed curtains. I am awake, but I want to stay here in bed with John. He is next to me, his chest slowly rising and falling in his sleep.

He looks so peaceful in his sleep. I know he has not slept well in a couple of days due to the amount of paper work he had to do for Washington. It's kinda my fault he had to do the papers, as when we were on our last mission I may have blown up a couple of buildings, at least there were no people in them though.

John moves closer to me, so I know he is awake. He still looks pretty tired.
"Morning John" I say. He just mumbles in response.

"I am gonna make breakfast ok?" I say to him. "Yeah" is the only response I get from him.

I walk out of the bedroom and go to the kitchen. When I get there I take out a packet of bacon and take out the bread. I hear John upstairs getting ready to come down. I take out other things I need like the toaster and the frying pan.

John comes into the kitchen wearing a old jumper of mine. "Hey, is that my jumper John?" I ask, just to tease with him. "Yep" says John. He comes over to me and starts to help me make the breakfast.

"I can't believe you have to work today Lex" he says.
"Yeah, but it is just a meeting, I will only be gone for like, two hours, so we can mabey go see a movie after." Me and John have not gone on a proper date in ages.

"Yeah that sounds great! I think that there is a new horror showing" John says, his favourite movie genre is horror.
"Well, it's a date." I say, and John smiles that beautiful smile of his.

After a while, the bacon and toast is ready and we sit and eat together, just making small talk.

"I should go get ready for work, I will be back in a minute" I say, getting up.
John just nods his head.

When I get to the room, I decide on just a regular suit for work today, as you have to look formal for meetings and crap.

As I enter the kitchen the smell of coffee makes me feel more awake already.
"I made you coffee in your thermos for work" John says smiling.
"Thanks Jackie!" I say, god this man knows how to win my heart.

"Anyways I should head off" I say. John walks over and gives me a pec on the lips.
"Bye Lexi" he says.

I decide to walk to work today, it's quite nice out weather wise.

I sip my coffee while humming a song that is stuck in my head due to John singing it non-stop. I think it's called Piano Man, by some dude named Billy Joel.

The walk to work is long, but nice. When I eventually get there the meeting is about to start.

The whole thing is a bit of a bore. It's all 'property damage this' and 'will cost us millions that'. The only thing I can think of is what John is up to.

I am half paying attention when my boss, Washington, gets a call on his phone. Obviously he hangs up, you can't accept calls in a meeting.

But the calls keep coming. Eventually Washington says "Excuse me for being rude, but I should take this call."

He walks out the room and small talk begins amongst the others at the meeting.

After about two minutes, Washington walks back into the room, looking angry.

"Everybody, this meeting has been called short, there has been an emergency, You should all head back home." says Washington in a strict tone.

Everybody begins to disperse, but Washington tells me to follow him to him to his office.

"Alexander, as you know, there has been an emergency, and I feel like I should tell you the news before you find out for yourself" he says.

"What wrong sir, terrorist bombers?, bank robbers?" I ask eagerly.

Washington sighs.

"No Alexander, this one is a little bit different"

I am confused. God, what could he mean?
"Umm, a mole in the company?" I ask uncertainty.

Washington looks upset, which never happens.
"No Alexander, the thing is, it's John, he's been kidnapped by a group of people, we do not know who they are or where they have gone, all we know is that they have him."
.
.
.

Shit, I need to get home.
