"How the hell are we supposed to pull this off?" I asked, confused.

"How am I supposed to know. Your the one that called me over and then brought this all down on me." He says.

"Well you are the one your supposed to be there for me, Asshole." I smile at my smart remark.

"Well this time your on your own, Asshole. I'm tired of getting in trouble. We aren't kids anymore. We're seniors, Jess. I think its time to grow up." He states.

He could tell that saying that hurt me, He began again but stopped himself. I didn't say anything either.

We let the smoke from the blunt flow from our mouths carelessly.

"It's my mom." I began.

I wait for a response breathing in the chemicals and starring into nothingness.

"She's a screw up, Jess. We both know that. We can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped."

"Don't you dare talk about her that way! Ever." I spat.

He sighs, "You're not gonna give up on her are you?"

"Damn right"

"Look at it the what I do. She's a druggie, Alcoholic, Unemployed, Single mom who can't pay her taxes." He added.

I sigh as silence over takes the air between us before I decide to speak up.

"She got a job, Jack. If she continues that she will earn her custody back. She can't have control of me. We can't let that happen."

He nods slowly. His brown orbs fall from me onto the blunt he dropped. His eyes so focused on the drug. I'm not sure he listened to what I said but I'm pretty sure he did.

His body shifts from upright to playing in my lap. His fingers are tangled in my long brown hair that traveled down from my breasts to his hand. I watched his eyes so focused on my hair.

He combed through it a few times before getting stuck and laughing. He untangles his fingers and sits up. He stares at me for a while. His eyes absorb my own and he begins to speak.

"When will we set the plan in action?"
