You wake up to sounds of chaos and screaming from downstairs.

"What the bloody hell is going on down there?" you say angrily

"I'm not sure, probably just Ron freaking out about a spider." Hermione says from the bed next to you.

"Well I'm going down to see what it going on. You coming?" you ask

"Yep, let me just put my slippers on." Hermione says

You and Hermione put on your slippers and go downstairs to see pretty much everybody standing in the common room terrified.

"What the fuck is going on down here?" you ask, still standing half way down the stairs.

"It's him, it's him. I saw him." Ron says in horror.

"Ron, who are you going on about?" Hermione asks 

"Sirius Black." Ron replies

"Oh bloody hell. So I got woken up just because Ron thinks he saw Sirius?" you ask in an annoyed tone.

"He's telling the truth, he came into our dorm room. Then he jumped out of the window so I looked outside, and there was a dog jumping from roof to roof ." Harry says

"Shit." you say

McGonagall enters and asks what's going on, Ron explains that he and his dorm mates saw Sirius Black.

"That's ridiculous Weasley. How could Sirius Black possibly have got through the portrait hole?" McGonagall says.

"I don't know how he got in! I was a bit busy dodging his knife!" He says and then Crookshanks (Hermione's cat) brushes up against Ron's leg. "And this bloody cat ate my rat!" He moans

"That's a lie!" Hermione says back

"It is not and you bloody well know it!" Ron scoffs back.

"Silence!" McGonagall shouts. She then walks over to painting that guards the door, it is currently Sir Cadogan because the Fat Lady needed a break after her attack.

"Sir Cadogan. Is it possible that you let a mysterious man enter Gryffindor Tower tonight?" McGonagall asks the painting.

"Certainly, good lady! He had the password. Had the whole week's, in fact. On a little piece of paper." He replies.

McGonagall turns back to everybody in the common room. "Which foolish person wrote down the passwords and then proceeded to lose them?!" She asks. Everybody's eyes instantly fall on Neville Longbottom. 

McGonagall sighs "Is it always going to be you Longbottom?" she asks

"I'm afraid so, ma'am." he says back quietly in a disappointed tone. You look over at him and give him a small warm smile and he returns it instantly.

McGonagall now addresses the whole Gryffindor house "While we know Sirius Black is gone tonight, I think you can safely assume he will, at some future time, attempt to return. Let me be clear. You are not to move about the castle alone. And you are not to write down the password! Understood?" McGonagall asks resulting in lots of nodding heads.

Everybody starts to head back to their rooms but you and Hermione meet Ron and Harry at the fireplace. Hermione picked up Crookshanks and started stoking him and Ron threw Hermione an angry glance, still thinking that he ate his rat.

"I could've killed him." Harry says "He was right there. Close enough to touch. I could've killed him." You all just make awkward eye contact until Fred and George pull you away from them.
