Yes, I am writing this for a contest but this time it is not about only winning. This is the time to dedicate my love to my India. This time, it is not for competing but for all the comforts and care I got from my motherland.
@IndiaCentral asked all of us that Why we are proud to be Indian.
I am proud to be an Indian because of no reason. Yes, it is because of no reason. Don't be surprised. What I mean is, Do you need a reason to love your mother? The pain she carried for nine months to bring you to this world. All those moments she embraced you in her arms when you were scared, isn't it enough? When she hide you in her Saree's Pallu to protect you from the harsh reality, wasn't it enough? The nights she stayed up when you were ill, don't they count?
For me India is my mother, who cared for me, nurtured me and made me realise the difference between good and bad. She gave me the courage and inspiration to do something for her children, for all of us. I don't think I need any materialistic reason to be proud of her. I am proud that I am her child. I am proud that her children stand united in the time of darkness and kindness.
The change I want to see in my mother India is the end of social evil norms and gender discrimination. I want girls to feel secure in their own motherland.
Also removal of corruption is a must.
We need to care for our India just like we care for our parents.
If we want change then we need to start from "myself" first.
My mother India has always been beautiful and will always be, sacrificing herself for her children.
As one my favorite author Ruskin Bond said,
“and when all the wars are over, a butterfly will still be beautiful.”
"Sare jahan se accha hindostan hamara
Hum bulbulain hai iss ki yeh gulsitan hamara"Always and forever.
Jai Hind!
