Chapter 29-Sage

I wake up to the smell of pancakes. I usually am lazy on weekends but I will do anything for pancakes. I throw off my covers and walk downstairs. "Grams"I say. but she didn't answer "Grams"I say. "I'm in the living room"Grams says. "What's going on"I say. "your parents they showed up last night they want you to come back with them"Grams says. "They didn't do shit for me"I say. "I know I called Mr. Kelly and he said they don't have legal guardianship over you"Grams says. 

I remember the first thing grams did was get legal guardian ship of me. that pissed my parents off. I breathe before walking into the kitchen. "Hi"I say trying not cuss them out. "Hey Sweetie"Mom says. 

"what are you doing here"I ask. "well we wanted you come with us"Mom says. "I'll pass"I say annoyed. "why"dad stupidly asks. "WHY BECAUSE YOU LEFT AT 2 YEARS OLD AND THEN RUINED MY EIGHTH BIRTHDAY AND THEN I WAS DEPRESSED BECAUSE OF YOU AND GOT INTO A ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE OF YOU AND WHERE YOU LAST 18 YEARS NOT HERE YOU NEVER CALLED OR TEXTED YOU LET ME CRY MY EYES OUT FOR DAYS ON END AND NOW YOU WANT TO SHOW UP AND TAKE ME AWAY FROM THE ONLY PERSON WHO ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT ME"I yell at them. 

"Sage honey we're sorry"Mom says. "Take your stupid apology and shove it your ass" I say. "Don't talk to your mother like that"Dad says. "really dad you want to be a parent now well guess what asshole it's too fucking late for that"I say. 

"Sage we're here now doesn't that count for something"Mom says on verge of tears. "No mom it doesn't because you didn't have the balls to actually be involved to actually give a shit. Well guess what Grams did she got me out of an abusive relationship she saved me for you pieces of shit and she got me help when I was hurting"I say. 

"sage we realized that giving you up was the worst mistake we ever made we shouldn't have hurt the way we did it was wrong we know that now"Dad says. "BULLSHIT"I yell "THAT'S FUCKING BULLSHIT"I say. 

Grams didn't stop me. "Mom you seriously going to let her go off like this giving us attitude"Dad says. "You shouldn't have left her Cal you hurt her in so many ways and I couldn't even imagine how much pain she's in And what do you do leave her and don't come back until now because you're just a pathetic piece of shit person"Grams scolds. 

I never heard grams cuss in my life. I honestly just wanted to hug her. She didn't ruin my life. 

"Get out"I say. My parents leave. Thank God. I shut the door and lock it. 

"pancakes"I say. "oh yes"Grams says. 

I love my Grams and I would never leave her.  She is my family not my parents.
