"No he's not," you frown. "He probably not even thinking about me."
Seconds later, your phone begins to ring.
Nia laughs, "Told you."
You sigh with relief and answer the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey y/n, what you up to?"
"Nothing really, how about you?"
"About to go see my moms," he says.
"So, I told her I bumped into you yesterday and she wants me to take you with me to come see her. You know she's always liked you."
You blush, "Really? Aw shes so sweet."
He wasn't lying. You and Berlin would always hang at his house after school and momma eezy would always be nice to you. One time, when you were about to leave his house, she pulled you to the side and said, "I hope you guys date one day. You'd be perfect for my boy."
That statement ran through your mind ever since then.
"I'll send you my address," You say.
"Alright, see you in a few."
"Byeee."
The call ended and you quickly sent him your addy.
After about 10 minutes, Berlin knocks on the door.
"It's unlocked," you say as you put in your hoop earrings in the living room.
He opens the door and looks around, "Okay y/n I see you, eughhh."
You chuckle, "Yeah this neurosurgeon money don't play."
"Seriously," he says. "You look good- I mean you always look good, but you look good."
You laugh, "Thanks Berlin. You look good too."
"Thank you, thank you," He rubs his hands together.
You grab your purse and you both make your way to his car.
It was a short drive, but you and Berlin knew how to keep a good conversation. It felt like the high school days again, you and him, chilling as usual.
It was nice, almost too nice.
You finally make it to mama eezys house and you both walk to her front door. You knock and wait until she opens it.
"Surprise!" You say as she looks at you in shock.
"Oh my word y/n you look amazing! Haven't aged a bit!" She says as she pulls you in for a hug.
"I could say the same to you! You look great queen," You say.
"Dang so just forget about me huh," Berlin sucks his teeth and rolls his eyes.
Mama Eezy laughs and hugs him, "Boy you know I love you."
He chuckles and hugs her back. You both go inside of her house shortly after.
You and Berlin stay there for a few hours, forgetting about the time and honestly not caring. It felt good to talk them considering it's been years. Berlins mom sits infront of you two and just stares.
"What's up mom?" Berlin asks.
"You too would just look so good together..." She says.
She continues to go on about how she's wanted yall to be together since high school. You and Berlin just awkwardly chuckle through it all.
"I'll stop rambling, but y'all know what I'm talking about," she says as she gets up and goes into the kitchen.
