bettys pov

everyday is the same...
get up,
shower,
clean cuts,
cover bruises,
makeup,
tight ponytail,
alice cooper approved outfit,
skip breakfast,
go to school,
get good grades,
skip lunch,
get good grades,
go home,
homework,
avoid parents,
sleep.
its like a consistent routine of pain, i can never catch a break. and on top of that we have jughead jones, that boy has made my life hell from the moment he stepped foot in it. He is best-friends with archie andrews who although i also dislike (mentioned later) is dating my bestfriend veronica lodge, where do i start with veronica, she is an angel on earth but is also close friends with cheryl blossom who makes comments about the way i look or weight constantly, but i deal with it because v is my bestfriend.

i haven't eaten in 2 weeks, i need to lose weight, not only for myself but for my uptight mother. jughead jones is simply another life obstacle i will fail to get over.

monday 5:30 am:
the ringing, either from my alarm or my head from last night...

flashback:

alice: you fat girl, you are useless, worth nothing, god i wish i got rid of you while i could-
alice started, clearly drunk.

betty: god mom i just got a B i promise it wont happen again.

alice: did you just talk back to me?

betty: n-no mom im sorry please.
*with that alice cooper slapped betty across the face*

hal: whats going on?
he asked walking downstairs towards the hassle.

alice: elizabeth here was being cheeky and talking back so im teaching her a lesson.

betty: i- i didn't mean it i swear!
she said sobbing.

hal: now there child no need for the dramatics, besides i have been pretty stressed lately.
and hal went on to kick shove push slap anything you could think of until his anger was gone.

betty moved herself upstairs as quickly as possible and passed out on her bed. dreading the next day.

end of flashback:

betty slipped herself out of bed and made her way to her shower avoiding any mirror in sight.
she turned the water to hot and winced slightly at the feeling of the water against her skin, relaxing shortly after due to being used to it. showers were her favourite time of the day, the only time she can seem to catch a break.
but obviously it was short lived when she checked the time and noticed she only had 50 minutes to leave and she should probably get out so she turned the shower off, dried off, and went to find one of the many pink sweaters that her mother bought for her last year, picking out some blue jeans to go with it.
she then proceeded to clean and cover her bruises and then applied slightly more makeup than usual due to the bruises being more intense than usual.

although her head was still in pain, she slicked her hair back as tight as possible into a high ponytail, wishing that it meets the alice cooper standard.
and with that before she knew it, she was outside riverdale high.
here we go again.
