"Hi." Annie smiled shyly and looked up at the tall man in front of her with a charming grin on his face. He wore a simple white dress shirt and black slacks and dress shoes. His hair was more neat than usual, but he still had that raffish look. Both sleeves were rolled up to just below his elbows as far as Annie could see since both his hands were behind his back.
"Milady." Julian held a beautiful bouquet of ivory gardenias and ruby red sweet peas out for Annie, and she felt her stomach flip at the romantic gesture. Despite having never been on a date, Annie had dreamed of a corny romance someday, with flowers and chocolates and absurdly effective pick-up lines.
"They're beautiful. You really didn't have to." Annie said.
"I didn't have to do any of this. I wanted to." Julian said and Annie bit her lip, trying to contain the blush she could feel rising to her cheeks, but it's not like she can change the direction of her blood.
"Thank you." She squeaked out, it being all she could manage.
"You're most welcome," Julian said, before smirking at her almost mischievously.
"Annie, you're face is quite red. You might be burning up, are you sure you're not sick?" Julian teased, and Annie just pouted and rolled her eyes.
"Shut up. I'm gonna go put these in water, stay there." Annie began to walk inside as Julian chuckled.
Until he saw the leg of a person on Annie's couch through the half-open doorway and then saw Tony Stark on the couch.
Julian just rubbed his eyes in disbelief as Annie returned, making her question his confused look.
"You okay, Jules?" Annie asked.
"If you don't mind, Annie, could I ask why Tony Stark is in your house?" Julian asked and Annie opened her mouth to say something but she was interrupted.
"Dammit!"
"You blew it, Tony!"
"I told you, you should've hidden with the rest of us." The Avengers started arguing until Annie sighed and pushed her door open fully, revealing all of them. The six heads shot up at the creaky door and Annie just looked up at Julian.
"Julian, meet the Avengers," Annie said, and they all mumbled a greeting to Julian simultaneously as Julian just waved back confusedly.
"You, uhm...you know them? Are they here on official business or--"
"They're here because they knew I had a date and they deemed me incapable of preparing myself for it. Pay them no mind." Annie smiled.
"Pay the Avengers...no mind?" Julian asked, confused at the statement. Earth's Mightiest Heroes were in Annie's living room and she just told him to ignore them.
"Yep. I'll explain in the car. Dinner first, right?" Annie asked, and that snapped Julian out of his trance. He looked at the seemingly expensive watch on his wrist and his eyes widened.
"Right! Dinner! We're about to be late for our reservation, come on." Julian said, beginning to walk backwards towards his car. He soon turned around and made his way to Annie's side, opening the door for her in a hilariously dramatic yet amorous manner as she giggled while taking her bag off of her shoulder and stepping into the car, mumbling a 'thank you'.
Julian closed the door and walked around to the driver's seat, closing the door and beginning to drive off to Étoile.

"So your uncle is Bruce Banner and you're friends with the Avengers," Julian confirmed as they walked up to the restaurant.
"Mhm." Annie smiled.
