⇱Chapter 3: A duel for love?⇲

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

Sunlight beams on my face as I woke up from my slumber, another day at exciting Duel academy, I climb out my sheets and got ready to get to class then I run to class after getting ready then I sit in my seat above Jaden and I wasn't really paying attention cause this lesson is really borin' if ya ask me but poor Sy he couldn't answer the question about field spells from what I gathered then everyone laughed at him so I got pissed off,"Aye, pipe down da lot of ya! So what if he didn't get it right treat him with some respect would ya, like with everyone else!" I yell at them angrily then they shut up except for Chazz the jerk then Syrus looks at me with relief,"Thanks (Y/n)." Sy says then he sits down,"Not a prob Sy, I mean dey were jerks who think dey are better at everythin'." I say with an annoyed expression then Jaden turns around smilin',"Relax (Y/n), don't let them bother you." Jaden says calmly as I sigh,"Alright Jay." I say then I get bummed out,"Now can somebody give me the proper answer, preferably someone not in red, thank you." Dr. Crowler says sarcastically then I put my hand up,"Dr. Crowler give me a chance." I say since I already know the answer then he smiles,"Alright go on then." he says as I stand up,"Field spell cards have da advantage of bein' able to change da entire state of play for its controller's or for both players' side of the field. Dey are spell speed one and are placed on the field zone, apart from da spell and trap zones." I say giving the correct answer,"Apart from your accent you've pretty much got it correct." he says then I smirk,"Ya see Dr. Crowler not all Slifers are dumb but since you've been beaten by Jaden, you're really mockin' ya self." I say then I smile as be bites his handkerchief,"Nice one (Y/n), you have got Crowler nervous." Jaden says as we giggle.

(Later...) 

"So as some of you students know,my name is Professor Banner (Not including full name sos) I specialize in some of the lesser known tactics in strategies in the world of duel monsters, some that are few that considered as unnatural." Professor Banner was introducing himself then Jaden yawned,"Oh and by the way (Y/n), thanks for saving me." I hear Syrus whisper then I smile,"It's not a problem Sy, I'll do anything for my friends." I whisper back to him then I felt somethin' furry on my leg so I look down to see Pharaoh,"(Y/n), do you mind and pass Pharaoh back to me?" Professor Banner says then I smile,"Sure, not a problem." I say as I gently pick up pharaoh and walk to Banner to then pass Pharaoh over to him then I go back to my seat and sit down then learnt somethin' after that.

(After that...)

I am standing next to Jaden waiting for our P.E. teacher,"(Y/n), do you know where Syrus is?" Jaden asks as I look at him then I shook my head to say no,"Sorry Jay, I don't have a clue where Sy is right now." I reply to him havin' no clue either then our teacher came in and talked with a squeaky voice,"Hi everyone, my name is Faunda Fontain, and i'll be your gym instructor for this semester. You ready to sweat?" Professor Fontain says as one sweat drops from the back of my head then she made us do exercises and laps around the gym. (for this series of books i'm making it so that you can go into the boys gym but you change in the girls locker room :>)

(Later after that...)

I came into Jaden and Syrus's room since I wanted to hang out,"Hey Sy, the out house is all yours if you want it." Jaden says while he dries his hair,"Sy is gonzo." Chumley says as we 'huh'ed at him,"Yeah he just left and he was in a real good mood too." he continues as I think to myself,'That's weird, he's not usually in a very good mood.' then I went and sat on Jaden's bed,"That really doesn't sound like Syrus." Jaden says as I think to myself then he gets up so I turn away grabbing my deck and looking at my cards as he changes his clothes then I turn to see him fully dressed and I sighed in my head,' Thank da almighty Ra he still wasn't naked.' I thought to myself,"Hey Jaden, how about a little duel for fun?" I ask him then he smiles,"Oh yeah, sounds fun." he says excitedly then I get my duel disk and activate it as he does his,"Ready?" I ask then he nods,"Duel." we say then our life points on our disks set to four thousand,"I'll go first so I draw, alright I place two cards down and then play Red eyes retro dragon in attack mode." I say then Red eyes retro appears happily as it sees me and Jaden then roars,"Nice to see you to Red eyes retro." Jaden says as Chumley watches,"Okay I draw, sweet I set Elemental hero Avian in defense mode and place a few face downs, your move." Jaden says as Avian enters the field then I drew Mystical space typhoon and smirked,"Now I activate Mystical space typhoon and I'll destroy your middle face down card." I say pointing to it,"Show me what card he's hiding." I say as it reveals spark blaster then destroys it,"But now i'll play Red eyes fusion, so now i'll sacrifice A/d changer and Red eyes black dragon to summon Red eyes slash dragon." I say as my Red eyes slash dragon appears,"and now I can use my fusion monster's ability to use a warrior monster from my graveyard as an equip card on my Slash dragon so it can gain 200 more attack points." I say then my fusion monster goes from 2800 attack points to 3100 attack points,"Now Retro attack Avian, Retro blast and then Red eyes slash dragon attack Jaden directly with infernal slash." I say as Retro was about to destroy Avian,"Hold it, I play Hero barrier so it allows me to negate one attack if there's a hero on the field so Avian is protected from Retro's attack." Jaden says and Retro's attack was negated,"But it won't save you from my Red eyes slash dragon's attack, so go Slash dragon continue with your infernal slash attack." I say then Jaden's Avian gets destroyed,"I end my turn Jay, don't hold anything back okay." I say but then his message thing goes off so we stopped the duel so we could look but no image shows but a voice was heard,"We have your roommate Syrus, if you want him back come to the girls dorms now with (Y/n) if you want to or alone." then I sigh hearing Syrus is in trouble again today,"Oh Syrus, do you want to come?" Jaden says as I look at him,"Of course, but some day we gotta finish the duel we started." I say kinda seriously but I smile,"Of course we will some time, but for now we got to rescue Sy." Jaden says half seriously then we raced to a boat and made it go across to the girls dorms of Obelisk blue then we came off the boat to see Syrus' hands tied to a rope and Alexis with her friends,"Hi Jaden, (Y/n)." Syrus says as we are both calm,"Hey, so what exactly is going on here?"Jaden asks Syrus,"Well um to make a long story short, i'm basically a big loser." Syrus says making me feel bad for him,"Your friend here, was trespassing into the girl's campus." one of Alexis' friends say,"Is that true Sy?" I ask with a slight bit of worry,"Hey it's not like that." Syrus says making me quietly sigh of relief,"And now you both are here, your both trespassing too." Alexis' other friend says,"That's right so if you don't want us to turn you both in Jaden has to win your freedom by beating me in a duel right now." Alexis says,"But if you turn us in, we'll be expelled." Syrus says then Jaden steps up (metaphorically),"Don't worry guys, I won't let that happen. Now let's duel, Alexis." Jaden says determinedly then Alexis glares at him then they both grab their duel disks and then they let go of Syrus and we hop into our boats (one for Alexis and her friends then there was one for us).

"I hope you know what you're doing." Syrus says to Jaden as I sighed,"Just try not to loose Jay, and keep dueling til' da last card is played." I say trying to keep our hopes up then they set up quickly,"Ready?" Alexis asks as they stare each other down,"Duel." They both say and the duel started... (Sorry I already illustrated a duel so i'm giving you the duel by a video 〒▽〒 also the closest I found was a AMV whatever the fuck that is *Cries in a corner for no reason*)

(So after the d-d-d-d-duel... (sos I had to XD))

Jaden won obviously, I am happy we aren't goin' to be excluded after all,"All right looks like that is game." Jaden says his catchphrase,"Well a deal's a deal, I won so we get off free." Jaden says as one of Alexis' friends gets riled up,"Okay guys, I won't back out we'll keep quiet about what happened tonight." Alexis says as we listen in,"Well if you ask me, I think we should turn all of them in right now." she says (Alexis' friend),"No one asked you." Alexis says then her friend goes,"Alexis." then their conversation continues then we get ready to go back,"Later." Jaden says then he rows us away back to our side of the academy.

Then we walked back with relief to the dorm...

'Well hopefully we won't end up in dat kind of situation again... or ever.' I thought to myself as I bid them goodnight.
