EXT. NINJAGO CITY EAST STREETS - DAY It is a cloudy, gray day. Ninjago City East is a part of the city that is both towered by large skyscrapers and populated by poor people on the streets. A small platoon of Mako agents walks on the sidewalk armed with rifles. One of the agents makes eye contact with a nervous street vendor as they walk by. Across the street, they can see a man wearing a gray cloak. The Mako Sargent leading them points to the figure and the group crosses the street. The Sargent puts his hand on the person's shoulder and he turns his head to reveal that it's ETHAN from the previous episode.

ETHAN Is there a problem agent?

MAKO SARGENT Your name is Ethan Meadows, am I correct?

ETHAN(with a stern stare)Yes.

MAKO SARGENT And you were once a member of the Sons of Garmadon, were you not?

ETHAN I thought all the Sons of Garmadon got put away in prison.

MAKO SARGENT Not all of them. It's a big group.Some managed to slip through the seams.

ETHAN(WHISPERING)Listen, if you think that I have any involvement with Garmadon or any of the ninja helping him you'd be GREATLY mistaken.

MAKO SARGENT What you speak of isn't public knowledge.

ETHAN Yeah, well news travels quicklyaround here. You Mako guys didn'treally think you could cover up something as big as that, did you?1.2.A group of criminals begins to form behind Ethan.

ETHAN Now I have nothing else for you, so you have a good rest of your day agent. He tries to turn to walk away but the agent holds onto his shoulder.

MAKO SARGENT I'm afraid we're gonna have to take you in for further questioning.In one quick motion, Ethan pulls a sword out from under his cloak, turns, and points it at the agent's neck.

ETHAN You're not taking me anywhere.

MAKO SARGENT Put down the weapon.

A throwing star suddenly is thrown and flies just over the agent's head, hitting the building next to him. A thug from the crowd threw it.

THUG(FROM CROWD)Let him go!We can see the crowd get out weapons.

All of a sudden, the rest of the Mako agents aim their rifles at the crowd.

ETHAN You Makos really think you're solving anything?

MAKO SARGENT You know of our cause.

ETHAN And I know what your presence has done to all of us. Tensions were already high enough in this city.The way I see it, as long as the ninja or Garmadon don't show their faces, none of you agents need to be here.

MAKO SARGENT You know the damage they can cause.

ETHAN And what about the damage you're already causing?!2.

MAKO SARGENT Maybe if criminals weren't walking around with weapons in broad daylight, none of us would be here.

ETHAN You'd be surprised what this city forces people like us to do!

A gust of air is felt and thrusters can be heard. Everyone looks up to see a black and white Mako jet hovering above them. COLE suddenly flips out of the cockpit and lands on the ground, separating Ethan from the Sargent. He is wearing his new Mako suit, which looks technologically advanced, has a primarily white color scheme with accents of the ninja's colors. Cole holds his arms out, preventing either side from advancing.
