We haven't seen Ethan in three days.
He's been avoiding everyone, even Caleb. He hasn't come back to his dorm at all. We have no idea where he's been staying. I've left him so many voicemails that it's now full and I can't send anymore.
I've made sure to let my brother know that this is all his fault. Ethan was finally admitting to himself how he felt about Caleb, he was finally coming to terms with the fact that he was gay, and Jason just had to fucking ruin everything.
The only plus side to all this was Jason actually felt guilty. Something I've never known him to feel. He hasn't been taking care of himself since Ethan disappeared. He hasn't shaved, showered, or even eaten properly. I'm the only one who actually seems to care about his well-being because everyone else refuses to talk to him. Caleb won't even look at him and when he does its to give him the nastiest glare I've ever seen. Kenzie chooses to vocalize her anger, calling him every name in the book. Kieran doesn't personally do anything, but he doesn't speak to him for Kenzie's sake. She's been going absolutely batshit crazy.
I'm the only one who has been checking up on him. I have to force him to get some food into his system and I make sure his hygiene is somewhat decent. There's no way I'm giving him a shower though, he can stink for all I care before I do that.
"Just leave me alone like everyone else did Celia," he whines, "I don't deserve to be taken care of after what I said. I deserve all this."
"What you did was a complete dick move, but you're my brother. It's my job to take care of you no matter what."
"I swear I didn't mean to say that. It's just not fair," he sighs.
"What's not fair?"
"N-nothing. Forget it," he blushes.
"No. Tell me."
"It's just... All of our friends have someone you know? They found each other pretty easily. But I can't."
I know the feeling, trust me.
"And I want that too you know? But how do you get someone to notice you?" He asks.
"You like someone," I accuse, my eyes lighting up when he blushes.
"It's someone I can't have though," he replies sadly, "They're already kind of in a relationship with someone."
Oh. My. God. Kenzie...
"Really? Did they recently start dating?"
"Um yeah actually they did," he replies confused, not knowing that I'm actually testing him.
"Does the boyfriend live in the same dorm as you?"
"Yeah. What makes it even worse is that he's not a bad guy. I hate when I want to hate someone, but I can't because they're actually nice," he replies angrily.
I can't believe he likes Kenzie!
"Does the boyfriend have blonde hair?"
"I don't see what that has to do with anything... Wait are you trying to guess who my crush is?" He accuses with narrowed eyes.
"Nope. Just curious," I reply innocently.
He shrugs before giving up, laying back down on the bed and wallowing in misery.
****
"I can't believe he would do something this stupid. What is wrong with him?!"
"Kenzie calm down. He wasn't thinking clearly."
