Hate and Sadness

The League was at the mountain celebrating a birthday for a member of the team

A person that they seem to view as a valued member of the team and in the future of the league

.

And that person was Superboy AKA Marcus Kent/Match, a clone of Superman with all of his powers

They had found him still in the underground lab of Cadmus, being in stasis all this time after he fought Conner 

Since his arrival, he had quickly joined the team and became part of the team, becoming the new superboy and even starting a relationship with Wonder Girl/Cassie

Everyone seemed to enjoy him.

Yet, in their acceptance of Match, they had forgotten one person that had been pushed aside

Conner Kent, the original superboy 

Conner was sitting in his room, alone and angry at others for ignoring him and replacing him

When Match first joined the team, Conner was excited at the fact. He finally had someone to talk to since Superman was still a little indifferent towards him.

Even if the first time they met, they tried to kill each other due to confusion, but now they could be like brothers.

But, it seems like everyone preferred Match over him, to the point of Match taking over the Superboy mantle, leaving Conner to try and find a new name.

But he did have some friends left

Static, Jamie, and Halo, still considered him the true superboy

Arrow and Canary begin to help however they could, whether it was financial or counseling or even taking him into the city and hanging, but it didn't feel real to him 

Surprisingly, Roy and Jade offered Conner a room at their house as Roy saw someone like him who was lost at some point in his life and Jade felt bad for him.

Yet even with all his friends, Conner felt betrayed by one thing Superman did that broke him.

He introduced Match as his son to his family, while he had said Conner was a sibling...

This made Conner mad at Clark for never seeing him as anything but an it, while Match got introduced as a son to others

As Conner was thinking, Wolf stood up and looked at a spot in his room, sensing something there as did Sphere.

Cooner looked up and smiled, standing up and grabbing a bag full of stuff.

"It's time, " He said as he left the room as a portal began to open and three figures were coming into focus

[Back at the party]

The rest of the group was enjoying the party as Conner came in placed his bag on the ground and grabbed a slice of cake

"Kr, bout time you showed up," Match said as Cassie gave off a look of guilt at Conner for what she did

Conner just ignored him and continued to eat the cake slice

"Hey, Kr I'm talking to you," Match said a little louder, getting everyone's attention to them
