7. Monopoly!!!

Thalia POV

I, the hunters and Lady Artemis ran up the hill of Camp Half-Blood, "We will be staying here for about 2 weeks or so ladies," as we nodded and I ran down to go see Annabeth. Annabeth spotted me and ran up to me and crushed me in a massive hug, "Thalia," she cried as I embraced her. "Why are you here," Annabeth asked me as I shrugged, "I don't know Annie, Lady Artemis just said we were staying here for 2 weeks, maybe even longer," I said as she jumped up and down in excitement until she had a curious look on her face, "Thalia, there are these mysterious people in this camp wearing masks and cloaks, do you mind if you please remove their mask or the leader's mask and tell me who it is," she asked with puppy dog eyes knowing I couldn't resist her charms and I sighed and nodded. She squeaked and hugged me again as I gathered 9 hunters to accompany me and explained to them as they nodded and we traced footprints into the forest.

We travelled through the forest until we were in the heart of the forest, I saw a rock with a shirt and a cloak on it and a guy floating in midair, elements surrounding him with his eyes closed. I have to admit he was buff and he looked calm but tense at the same time, he opened his eyes and studied us then floated down to the ground. He put on his shirt and his cloak which was lucky because some of the hunters did not appreciate it like, right here, me. The dude leaned against this tree with his arms crossed and said,

"Thalia Grace and the Hunters of Artemis, may I ask what you are doing in the middle of the forest when I am in the middle of doing something," "We're hunting of course," Atlanta lied as the guy sighed and spoke, "Seriously daughter of Apollo, you must come up with a better excuse than that, you hunters eat in the dining pavilion do you not?" as I kicked a pebble on the floor. How had this guy figured out so quickly and how did he know who they all were? "My dearest friend Annabeth has told me to remove your mask and reveal who you are," I said simply as he sighed and shook his head. "Thalia Grace, may I request you to go get a lecture from your brother on why I shouldn't reveal my mask, Annabeth has attempted to do so but your brother is wise. He knows what is good and what is bad, this camp could be torn if you knew why identity. My wish is just that you know not to reveal my mask but it is a time where I must, I will reveal myself, I can promise you that Thalia." he said as I nodded in acceptance.

"Thalia, may I ask you why are we taking orders from a demigod," Phoebe asked me as the guy looked at her, "First of all, you do not know who I am, I am no ordinary demigod, I am different. I have travelled to the city of the primordials, I have met Chaos and became his assassin, becoming Prince of the Multiverse whilst doing so but I ask not to take me as a prince, you may treat me as someone normal but I swear, if you continue the path you are taking, the insulting it will not lead you to good," he said seriously Phoebe made a gesture which I immediately recognised as proof and the guy pulled up his left sleeve, revealing a tattoo which had crossed swords, a universe and a crown. Then he summoned fire and put it at the tattoo, it didn't burn or anything as he lay down a strip of metal and said, "This is Chaos metal, forged by the ones blessed by Thetis, indestructible and I will give you proof, but I swear by the River Styx this is true," as he pointed to my hunting knife and I gave it to him.

He duplicated the knife and sliced the ground with it, it was sharp and he gave me my old one then used the new one and brought it down, full force at the metal and as soon as the knife made contact, it shattered and the metal remained unharmed. "Is that enough Phoebe?" he asked as she grunted, annoyed but alas she still nodded. Then the boy turned away and forged a bubble around himself, he removed his shirt and cloak once AGAIN and he floated up, meditating in the exact same way as before, he was floating, his eyes were closed and elements surrounded him as his face tensed then became calm and still, at peace. We watched him meditate for like, 10 seconds then we turned away from him and left. "I can't believe he actually had proof that he was a stupid prince," Phoebe grumbled whilst a female appeared in front of her, "Hi, I just came to say that he wouldn't appreciate you saying that," said a girl as she waved at Phoebe. Phoebe tilted her head at the girl who had appeared in front of her, "Who are you then," she asked whilst the girl answered,

"I'm the Princess of the Multiverse, I don't really like the title nor do I like the job of what I have to do but being an assassin of my patron is fun. Though so please don't address me by the title of a stupid princess, I really hate it, how about you act like I'm a regular demigod, just a bit strange. Heir to Order's throne and also Assassin of Order, I'm the cousin of Chaos' Assassin. Also, have you seen a guy with black eyes and a black cloak," the girl asked as our eyes widened, "Yes, he is in the centre of the forest, he's meditating," I said as the girl narrowed her eyes at the forest, "I am going to kill you cuz," she whispered silently and the forest and thanked us whilst sprinting off to the forest. "That is really weird," Naomi said as we nodded and headed towards the Artemis cabin.

On the way, Annabeth saw me and bounded up and immediately asked if I had got the information, when I shook my head she stamped her foot in frustration. "I need to know who he is before I rage," she growled and flashed away as I sighed, I headed into the cabin to see Artemis, lying down on a bunk twirling her hunting knife in between her fingers whilst Jennifer spoke, "What's with the mood milady?" as Artemis got up from her bunk and said, "Just bored," and as soon as she said that a monopoly game appeared in her hands and attached to it was a note, Artemis tilted her head at the board game and looked at the note, she cleared her throat and began reading the note aloud,

To the Hunters of Artemis and Artemis herself,

I predicted that Artemis would say that she was bored, well, thanks to the Hunters for understanding that there was no need to remove my mask and were wise, this is my thanks, it may not be the best but I guess you should stay tuned until dinner. Artemis, I request that you do not go into a flying rage because a male gave this. Thank your hunters. You may play this game until dinner if you wish, I am not forcing but I am just offering if you do not want to play then leave it outside your cabin and I will retrieve myself and also Phoebe, I know you are rolling your eyes right now but I never said you have to play plus I already know that Thalia knows how to play this game.

Chaos' Assassin (Artemis you know who I am)

The hunters looked confused and I nodded and said, "I've played Monopoly before, I can explain the rules if you would like to know or if you want to play but Artemis, what does he mean by he knows you," as Artemis said, "I know him from a long time ago, he's an old friend of the Olympian Council and every single Olympian themselves," and she looked at the game and her expression changed into one of an excited face. She placed her hunting knife on a table and then spread the game out on the floor and sat cross-legged. I sat down and saw that Naomi had also sat down and surprisingly, Phoebe had a look of slight amusement and excitement since Artemis wanted to play a mere board game but personally, I loved monopoly and was addicted to it until I left home... but still. Artemis peered at the instructions and organised the board and set up everything that was needed, she handed us the fake money and then spoke, "Get ready my huntresses, we play now," as she rolled her dice and it landed on a six, I knew that Artemis would probably have good luck since Tyche favoured her and I sighed, this was going to be a long game with the hunters and Artemis as it switched to my turn and then I rolled the dice.
