... well well well, who would've thought we would have ended up here? not me that's for damn sure!

I really and truly had been very set on not coming back to Records and my HP universe because of JK R*wling as many of the transphobic and just absolutely horrendous things she said came to light at the same time I was dealing with my gender identity crisis (among many other crises and issues within former Wattpad friend groups I was apart of that lead to a TANKING of my mental health) (sophomore year of college was rough buddy), but there's always been some part of me (despite my new loves and ocs that have forever taken up rent in my mind 😚✨ harlowbruce and augustdick will forever remain iconic and a main focus of mine) that wanted to finish or at least make an attempt to finish Evelyn and Harry's story. I doubt the rest of the series will make a return outside of this story - I will be continuing to mention Remus and Juniper (my loves I am thinking about them always), I am also a bit on the fence now about whether or not Tonks and Arabella are going to be a couple as they have a five year age gap (and Ara would be about 18 compared to a 23 Tonks which just don't sit right with me) at the start of this fic however they do work together and they are both lesbians so is it something open for later in the fic (and is there ending still the same for those that know what it is)? yes for sure!

Overall, I'm really hoping to be able to further deepen the readers relationship with Evelyn and going back to explore the bruised form of girlhood she's supporting (I love that metaphor that Taylor Swift used explaining speak now as an album exploring the movement from bruised girlhood to calcified adulthood because I really cannot explain any better than what I want to explore Evelyn's storyline for and with)! I think now as I am much older than I was when I first started writing this fic: 2018 Ashton was still in high school, I'm pretty sure I was around a sophomore in high school, this first rewrite which the info below is about is from 2021 when I was a sophomore in college, and now as 2023 comes to a close I am graduating with my bachelor's degree this December (if anyone cares I graduate on the 21st), so there's a difference in my writing (I hope) and at the very least more experience that I can write about girlhood and those pivotal teenage years being able to look back retrospectively (having worked on myself so much more in the past two years to be in a better place mentally and physically) and see what it can do to a person come adulthood.

I hope this at least makes some sense lmao, I'm really excited to work some more on this and try to bring back something that was once a big part of me! Again, let me emphasize while I will no longer be in school for my undergraduate degree, I take the MCAT (medical college admissions test) this coming April and apply to medical schools this summer! I am also going to be working full time (I am broke) & I am applying for graduate schools starting August 2024. Needless to say, please do not expect many updates or push me for them. I will be trying to update (as I have this semester and failed bc I put my schoolwork and my aspirations for life above my stories no matter how much I love them) the best I can and I can assure you that commenting "update" will do nothing but deter me from spending my free time writing 😭.

Anywho, go ahead and add more random Ashton comebacks to your 2024 bingo card bc what the fuck is this.

It's Ashton! I have been having
a bit of a crisis about the early
chapters of this book written in
late 2018, so I have made the
conscious decision to unpublish
them and begin rewriting before
the story gets any farther!

I really hope you guys will stick
with me through this & im so grateful
for each and every one of you who has
supported this story!

None of the major plot should be
changed, however my writing will
be better and 😌✋ I stand by that

I'll hopefully be bringing these
chapters back soon 🥺🥺 i love
you all!

is incredibly difficult and for the
past couple of months I've been
struggling with writers block for
almost all of my stories. I'm hoping
to ease back into writing with one
shots on my OC one-shots book,
so feel free to go over there and
