When Ella woke up again, there was an old man beside her mother.
"Ms. Deon, it seems that your daughter is currently having short-term amnesia from the fall. Aside from that, she's completely fine. Let her rest for a week or so and don't try to force her to remember the past. It should all gradually come to her."
"Thank you, Sir." Her mother thanked the healer before the old man left the room.
"Okay sweetie, you'll be fine. Why don't you rest some more? I'll go make your favourite soup and bread."
"Okay, mum," Ella replied.
And with that, her mother left the room. Getting up, Ella spotted a mirror and looked into her new reflection. Her face was now pale and she had soft, golden hair that flowed past her shoulders. Her eyes were a vivid emerald and she had peach pink lips. Everything about her new face was incredibly...soft.
"So this is what Ella Deon looks like in real life. My face...so soft and smooth. I can't believe I'm really her. " Ella murmured.
[Okay. Calm down, Ella. So it seems I really have transmigrated into 'Kingdom of Light'. Okay, let's follow what all the other characters have done and write everything about the plot down before I forget.]
Spotting a pen and paper on a desk, she began to hurriedly write everything down.
The Kingdom of Light is a fantasy-romance novel that was extremely popular online. It consisted of the main heroine, Ella Deon who lived in Lumiere. All the children in the Lumiere Kingdom, have to visit the Holy Church at eighteen to have their Mana test, which would reveal their powers and abilities. The most common powers would be the four elements: fire, water, earth, and air. The rarest of powers would be light, shadow and even more so would be time and space. There would also be four ranks of those powers: Apprentice, Expert, Master and God.
In the novel, Ella was found to be a one in a thousand year, talent. With a God rank and Light ability, she was named the 'Goddess of Light'. Because of her powers, she attended the prestigious Leon Academy where she caught the eye of the Crown Prince, Blaiz Leon on the first day. Arriving late, she asked the Prince for directions, unknowingly catching his eye as she was the first person who treated him as a 'normal person' without fear or ulterior motives.
Due to a series of "circumstances" [yeah as if...Ella scoffed], she would often run into Prince Blaiz, where they began a friendship. However, this friendship would fester jealousy from his fiancé, Merula Noir. With long, straight black hair, snow-white skin and piercing red eyes, she was a Master of Darkness. Her family and status were only second to the royal family, with her father, the royal advisor and Prime Minister. Engaged since birth to the Prince and trained to be the future Queen, Merula's love for Blaiz began to grow destructive when Ella came in.
She and her group began to relentlessly bully Ella using typical tactics of ruining clothes and books, tripping her, verbally abusing her and so on. During this time, Ella also began to start friendships with Cedric Hartgon, the son of the Treasurer, Damien Lulkery, the Prince's knight-in-command and Zafir Amari, the neighbouring Crown Prince. Later on, Ella and Prince Blaiz would start to harbour romantic feelings
In the end, Ella with Prince Blaiz and the other male characters confronted Merula at the Academy's final ball. The Crown Prince annulled the marriage between the two and Merula growing hysterical, attempted to kill Ella with shadow attacks but was saved by Blaiz. Merula was then sentenced to be executed for attempting to assassinate the now Prince's fiancé and future Queen of Leon. Her family were stripped of their nobility and Prince Blaiz and Ella lived "happily ever after". The Kingdom of Lumiere experienced immense prosperity with the couple, where the pair of them used their powers for the greater good.
"The end." Ella sighed.
"But...it's a little strange how Merula could change so much just because of Ella though. But I suppose you can never underestimate the power of love."
"Well, if that's the case I'll just avoid the Prince! Instead of making friends with the other second leads, I'll try my best to be friends with Merula. Not to mention the fact I would rather die than be the Queen."
"Okay. Mission start! Turn 18, pass the mana test, attend Leon Academy and then avoid all boys at all costs! Girls only!" Ella fist-pumped the air.
