Everything was silent in Garu's house it was the middle of the night and he was getting some sleep, or, at least he was trying to.
Garu never had a problem with sleeping before but tonight he just couldn't seem to be able to conk out no matter what he did.
Finally Garu just decided he should go for a walk, he hadn't in a while but it would be better than just laying in bed staring at the ceiling.
Garu got up to put on his shoes and a coat it was cold outside, not enough to snow but just cold enough to be uncomfortable without a jacket.
Garu walked through his door and a split second before he closed it he heard a blood-curdling scream coming from the bamboo forest that was quickly cut off, it was just quick and faint enough that if garu had stayed inside for another couple seconds he never would have heard it.
Garu ran back inside grabbed his sword and raced towards the sound of the scream jumping off of the bamboo stocks to go faster but still keeping an eye on the ground below just in case, the scream was definitely a male but had been cut off as if they closed their mouth, or were shut up by someone.
Garu jumped and in the corner of his eye he thought he saw black matted fur, but when he turned to go in that direction he didn't see whatever the fur belonged to.

He saw a body covered in blood.
Garu raced towards the person while on high alert in case that thing came back for dessert and wrapped the person in his jacket and ran back towards his home, careful not to hurt them any more than they already were as the smell of blood invaded his nostrils. Garu got back home, possibly quicker than he left, and slammed the door open with his back.
Garu slowed down for the first time since he left and laid the person on the floor a mat under their body and a pillow under their head.
Garu turned on the light and went into the bathroom to get all the medical supplies he would need and went back into the room finally able to see his rescues face he froze.
it was his mortal enemy tobe.
finally got out the first chapter sorry I ghosted you guys I lost my account so I couldn't update even if I wanted too but since I was re-uploading the story I decided I might as well re wright it to ill get the next chapter out as soon as I can promise
