𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗣𝗢𝗩

"Terri, isn't your mom gonna freak out once she finds out what you've been doing in here?", I asked as I laid on her bed, constantly shoving sour gummies in my mouth as she ran around the room.

The first week of school has passed and so the weekend of turn ups start. Everybody at the school always goes down to Sliding Sisters'---a skating chill spot---and just have fun. Mama Neo was the owner and she was as hip as a fifty year old can be. She'll get out there and have a good time with us but also put us in the check.

She was everybody's mama whether you had one or not.

And she happened to be Zion's grandmother so we were real close as can be. Yeah, I've met his family and it's a damn shame how we ain't together but I ain't sweating it. I won't be long waiting for long and Zion knows that.

Terri was smoking in here not to mention when I pulled up, a boy was standing out on her porch with just his boxers on. Who knows what the hell was going on here before I came.

"Ion care what she thinks, it's none of her business," she shrugged her shoulders as she threw on some clothes.

"You gotta stop doing that---you know your mom loves you...she just got a funny way of showing it," I mentioned quietly as she turned to me raising an eyebrow. Aight, I may have stretched that out. Terri's mom wasn't a bit of shit but it was impossible for her to not love her daughter. Terri is just this chaotic, energy-filled person---how couldn't you love her?

"Taking me from my dad to raise me better and then doing a awful job at it while fucking other guys, having them step to me any kind of way is love to you?", she retorted as my stance faltered.

"Well, when you put it like that then yeah, she ain't shit. But still, this her house and you know she don't like all this smoke in her. You gotta respect her rules or else you'd be out on the streets."

"I wish she would---she wanted me here then she gon put up with me as she said she could. My dad wouldn't even care about this mess cause I'm still a good child. She think I'm a damn pothead with no head on my shoulders---treat me like I'm stupid," she sat next to me putting on her shoulders as I pouted hugging her.

"You think your dad would let you come back? I mean, last time you seen him he was a bit..."

This was hard to talk about with Terri, about her father. He's a lawyer but then as things got stressful with cases at work, he started to become an alcoholic. He manages to keep his job and to stay upright but it just wasn't an environment Terri should be in, to see those habits of his. It wasn't like he was messing with her neither, nah----he loves her to death but she couldn't stay there longer.

"I know but I want to see him. These phone calls ain't enough. All he needs is some support and a pick-me up and now I'm not there," she sighed out as I rubbed her back.

I didn't want to get her worked up so I switched the conversation to what Edwin did this morning when we went to Waffle House. And speaking of the devil...

"What's cracking whores?", he came strutting in, once again letting himself into someone else's house.

I snickered as I took a look at the outfit he has on. "What do you have on Edwin? It's a little tight ain't it?", Terri looked at it with wide eyes as she pulled on his pants, seeing it was basically pinching his skin.

"Now you wearing leather and shit, Brandon must be engraved in your head cause chile," Terri pursed her lips before chuckling going back into her closet.

"And what about it? That bitch Austin tried to show me up this morning like I wouldn't have laid his ass out. He's lucky I just got my highlights down as I wasn't trying to screw up my look. He could never," he scoffed laying down over me.
