ZION POV

I tried to talk with Nick today just like I have been for the past two weeks but I got turned down again. He's never ignored me this long and it's all because of that nigga who don't know how to mind his business.

He should be worrying about himself and what I'm doing---that whole situation with Sierra and I---I could've explained that to Nick myself. Reno gon get what's coming to him though, he been asking for it for the longest anyway.

The last period just ended so I was gonna see if I could catch Nick before he left. I ran out of the building and looked for his car when I saw him leaning on it, talking with Reno, Edwin, and Terri. Reno made eye contact with me and smirked before putting his arm around Nick's shoulder.

I didn't care that he put his arm around him, it's the fact Nick didn't shrug it off. He just looked at Reno and went back to his conversation with his friends. I was pissed but I knew if I went over there while I'm angry, it'd just make him stay away from me longer. Having him not speak to me this long was hell enough.

My phone rang as I pulled it out of my pocket. I looked to see a familiar face calling and smiled answering it.

"What's going on shawty----"

"Skip the awful flirting, look across the street," he hung up afterward as I looked up seeing him peering out the window at me. I ran up to the car hopping in as he drove off immediately after.

"Saw your little piece looking at you, what's going on there?", he asked looking over to me before turning his attention around to the road. 'He' was Kamoni. Kamoni is basically one of my bosses in a way although he's only one year older than me.

He was a real big name in Chicago specifically for the reason that he was a part of a widely known gang named The Brotherhood. He's the only son of the leader, Jaimeson, who was an influential boss in itself. The Brotherhood is really dangerous and is basically everywhere around Chi-Town. I'm part of it and I found myself really close to Kamoni at one point.

"Haven't spoken in a few, mad at me. I ain't worried about that right now though cause it'll be fixed---why you on this side?"

"I need you to get some stuff in order. Caught some of your friends, Kincade for instance sneaking off with some of my packages. They were supposed to be shipped off down south since we expanding a bit, need a few associates. Figure out what's going on and have them returned or we'll have a problem."

"I got you, expect everything to be cool by tonight. So, you gon give me a reward?", I asked slyly as he chuckled stopping at a stop sign.

"You don't deserve a reward from me nigga. You're already having problems with your bitch, don't bring those over to me. Plus I got shit going on and I don't need no dick from you," he scoffed as we pulled up to a warehouse getting out.

"Who you messing with then?"

"You paying my bills or fucking me?", he looked over to me with hands on his hips as I rolled my eyes shaking my head.

"Nah, I ain't doing either. Why you gotta be like that Kamoni?"

"Why do you have to be an unfaithful boy who don't know how to stick it in something that's actually his? Lemme teach you a lesson, Zion. You will get nowhere with how you're doing at this point. You know what I see?", he walked closer until he had to crane his neck up to look at me.

"Amuse me."

"I see something lesser of a man, weaker than a boy. I may be older than you by maybe a few months or so but I'm more man than you can amount to---ever. You spend your time playing around with the little whores around your school and making a mockery out of my gang. The Brotherhood doesn't need weaklings like you who can't even figure out their feelings much less know how to guide themselves properly. I see nothing but a shallow, insecure boy who plays the role of what he thinks is a real man."
