You woke up and felt your knotted hair against your cheek. The sun pierced your eyes and you could hardly open them. You remembered your dream, only for a second, then the thought went away. Your palms were really sweaty and you felt like you're arms were going to fall off.
Suddenly you remembered everything that happened last night.
"I think that I love you." echoed in your head. You opened your eyes slowly and you were cuddling with Annie. You're eyes widened when you saw her, still sleeping, and with the same delicate look on her face as last night. You could only hope that she had forgotten, because there's no way you could tell her your feelings back to her.
You felt warm. It's like your body had the best sleep in your life, but your brain has been awake all night. You didn't want to stop cuddling Annie, so you pretending to be asleep before she woke up.
"Wow. She's so warm. She's like an angel. I never see this side of her, I need to cherish this." your thoughts raced in your head. You enjoyed every second that passed.
Annie moans a little and stretches her legs out. Then she moved her arms out from cuddling you. Her eyes still closed, she turns around. Your eyes open and you stare at the back of her head. Her hair was up in its usual messy bun, and you were surprised that her hair didn't look tangled at all.
Then, Annie sits up and looks around the room. Her eyes looked heavy, and she lets out a yawn.
Annie streches out her arms, "Good morning." You were still lying down, so you got up.
"Good morning. Are you busy today?" You replied.
"No, I don't think so."
"Would you like to get breakfast?" You said, hoping she would say yes.
"Sure," Annie looked down, "where do you wanna eat at?" she said calmly.
"Hmmm... why don't you choose, I can't really think of anything off the top of my head." You looked down, avoiding eye contact with Annie. You were almost sure that she forgot about everything that happened last night. But... that wasn't much of a good thing... You wanted to tell her your feelings about her too, especially since when you guys first met, things didn't go too well.
You were thinking maybe Annie would choose to order McDonald's or maybe she would want to go to the store to buy something.
"I can order McDonald's. I have the app on my phone." Annie said.
"Ok, I'll pay though."
"No, let me pay." She replied.
"Ok, but why?"
"Why not?"
"Idk." You looked away, feeling bad that Annie was going to pay for your food.
"What do you want?"
"Hmmm... just get me whatever you get, I'm going to brush my teeth." You got up and started to walk over to the bathroom. Before you could get to the door, Annie grabbed your arm.
"Wait." She turned you around and you were both staring into each other's eyes. She slid her hand down to grab your hand and grabbed your other hand.
You were so confused what she was doing. Her hands were so warm... Annie's eyes were twinkling. You couldn't even begin to imagine what was going on inside her head. Annie squinted her eyes and smiled.
"Your hair's a mess." She giggled, then her giggle turned into a laugh. You were still super flustered, and your cheeks were probably super red.
"Wha-" you started to mutter out.
Then, when Annie cought her breath from laughing so hard, her face got serious again. She started to lean in, and you could see her face turning red. You were both still holding hands, but she started to squeeze them even tighter.
You were so nervous. You could smell her strawberry pie perfume as she got in closer. Annie didn't look quite ok either, her face was bright red at this point, and she was hardly breathing.
Then, she turned her head away and poked your cheek. She was looking away for so long, with her finger still on your face.
"What are you doing?" You looked down. Suddenly, Annie turned around quickly.
"Nevermind." Then she started to walk away. Annie walked over to the closet, which you both share. She grabbed a Gray dress that was a little lower than knee length, then went into the bathroom to change.
You wondered why she had grabbed a dress, as she has never worn one. You didn't even know that she had one. The dress was beautiful though. It was a medium length dress that joined at the waist and flowed into a gorgeous lacey skirt.
When Annie was done changing, she walked elegantly out of the restroom. The dress twinkled into your eyes and with each step the bottom of the skirt bounced off her knee's.
"Wow." you thought.
"Hey, what're you wearing that for?" you asked. She stayed silent and showered herself in more of that strawberry pie perfume. You had once told her that you loved the smell of that perfume. She had bought it one time to go to a party with Bertholdt and Reiner, but never wore it again after that. Suddenly, she started to wear it again about a week ago.
Annie sat down on your bed and stared out into the window in her own thoughts.
"Hey, do you remember anything from last night."
You paused. You weren't sure she even remembered, or if that was a dream. But, you didn't want to lie to her.
"Ya, I do." you replied, your heart racing.
"You-"
"Annie, I think that, I love you too."
