THE SWEATER WAS NOT FOR ME

"Babe! Say cheese!" I happily said as i took a picture of my boyfriend.

"Daming alam Liana haha halika nga dito" as he pulled me towards him, i felt thousands of electric bolts in my tummy.

God knows how lucky i am to have Steven as my boyfriend. Hindi naging madali nung nangliligaw pa sya since our parents are rival with each other pero pinaglaban nya'ko and i love him for doing that.

"Babe, uuwi ka ba para sa 5th Anniv. Natin?" I asked him during a phonecall, busy at may inaasikaso kasi ito ngayon, but i understand his reasons naman so there's no need to have doubts. I trust him and he trusts me. That's enough.

"Uhm not sure babe, di pa rin kasi naayos ang gulo dito eh. I'll update you as soon as possible okay?" I heaved a sigh and nodded, as if he could see me..

"Di pa rin ba naayos, eh halos magwa-one month ka na dyan? I miss you already" i said in a low voice.

"I'll hang up now babe, bye take care of yourself loveyou" he then ended the call..

'I trust you Steven..'

Steven's going home tonight and i'm so excited, i even cooked all of his favourite dishes. All i have to do now is wait!

It was almost 9pm when i heared the front gate made a sound. Gosh andito na si Steven! Nagmamadali akong lumapit sa pintuan para salubungin sya with my hugs and kisses pero winakli nya lang ang kamay ko..

"Babe, u alright?" I asked and waited for his response. Maybe he's just having a bad day?

Di naman sya sumagot kaya di ko nalang din pinansin. He didn't even greeted me-- and the fact that i was standing there infront of him.

'Calm down Liana. Steven's just having a bad day.' I calmed myself down, even though ovethinking was almost killing me.

I was eating the meal i prepared for him, when i saw a shopping bag placed near the doorway. My curiousity went higher and higher as i went closer at it. Is this Steven's?

Sinilip ko ang laman nito and was shocked to see a couple's sweater. Aww babe

I guess he was just having a bad day huh? Kinuha ko naman ang isang pares ng sweater na sa tingin ko ay akin since it's smaller at nilagay sa kwarto.

This is one of the traits i love about Steven. He never forgets me. He's a very thoughtful guy! And again i'm so lucky to have him.
Dec 24th is our Monthsary and one of the reasons why i think sweater ang binili nyang gift ay ang malamig na panahon.

I woke up early since today's the day! 10 hours to go and it's Christmas already, and yes it's finally our 5th anniversary as couples. I'm not expecting him to propose but i hope he will, now that i'm ready.

"Hi baby goodmorning" i greeted him as he opened his eyes. He just smiled and stood up, i was waiting for him to greet me back like 'hey babe, happy anniversary!' or 'hey babe, good morning' but i received none--but it's okay i guess. Makakalimutin lang talaga si Steven.

My gaze landed up on the shopping bag near the closet. Which reminds me, san kaya kami magdadate ngayon? I'm pretty excited!

Nang matapos si Steven maligo ay agad-agad naman iton dumiretso palabas. Wait! I hurriedly took a bath and wore my skinny jeans, some rubber shoes, a thin clothing inside of my sweater and voilà i'm ready to go!
