We drove in maddening silence. Time went by in a slug like pace, we've been driving for approximately 2 and a half hours and my derrière was beginning to burn from sitting in one place for so long. I didn't even make an effort to memorise the streets we've taken, they had made so many turns that I have lost count.

I glared holes in his head for the millionth time since driving, and if I was given the chance to have any super power at the moment, it would be to have laser beam eyes. Understanding that glaring alone wouldn't even faze him I let my eyes wander about his features. A strong jawline chiseled from granite, perfectly arched eyebrows aligned with a straight and narrow nose. How could God make someone so perfect but so...raw.

The thought of the witch infiltrated my mind and I peered my eyes away from him to stare out the heavily tinted windows. Was this what she meant by my life being in for a 'bumpy ride?' I mean, in less than a week I was almost raped, killed and now I'm being kidnapped. Oh wait, I'm not being kidnapped. Besides, how could he kidnap his 'own property'. Her wicked grin painted a very evil image in my mind and I had to take a deep breath before my heart picked up speed, there is no way I want to have another encounter with her, but apart of me felt like that was inevitable. She scared the living daylights out of me.

Why did I have to see her in those woods?

And why did I even go running my big mouth?

And why do I feel like her meeting me wasn't coincidental.

The trees of the forest were like a never ending parade of soldiers that barricaded the creatures it held within as they blurred pass us. My eyes began to feel droopy so I let my head rest against the window and fell asleep.

I was jolted a wake by the car stopping suddenly while my body was flung out of the seat by the force, the smell of burning tyres crawled it's way in my nostrils as my face slammed against the driver seat of the car. I was about to curse when I saw both the driver and Ares training their eyes at something up ahead. Peaking from behind I followed their gaze and my breath hitched at what I saw.

More than 50 monstrous werewolves littered the road in front of us blocking us from proceeding further. Their growls wrecked havoc in my ears while their wild eyes cause my soul to take flight from my body and go into hiding. It was still daylight but the canopy only let in a few streaks of the sun rays. Everything was dense and humid, if it wasn't for the car lights I would have never seen them.

The temperature in the car dropped to a negative zero, I could even see the air I exahaled vaporizing. A deep growl vibrated within the car turning my attention away from what was up ahead focusing at what was here close to me. I didn't miss the murderous zeal his eyes held as his body shook with fury.

"Rogues" he cursed and when I thought he was just gonna sit there, he opened the door of the car and calmly walked out while undoing his jacket.

I watched as he dominantly stalked to the vicious group of wolves that gnashed their teeth at him the closer he got to them. Now it was my turn to ask if he had a death wish. He stopped when he was just a few feet away from them and I could tell everybody including me held their breaths. A white wolf that sat in the middle of the pack, pranced up to him menacingly, and then bones shifted, broke and repositioned themselves in the form of a man.

They were having a conversation I could tell, and even if I strained my ears I wouldn't be able to hear anything. The werewolf that was driving had long exited the car followed by seven others who were travelling with us,I watched as they stand by in an attacking stance behind their leader.
