Smile thats all i need

I woke up from a messy night of thinking about Cedric diggory. Although the good-,the news was that I like him.
I quickly realised the time and jumped into my uniform, got my cloak from the hanger and tumbled down the stairs.
My hair was messy and I tried to brush it with my hands but that wasn't going very well !

When I got to the main hall I could see Cedric in the corner of my eye but I refused to look at him.

I sat down next to draco malfoy someone who I have hate- .., disliked deeply for many years.
"Hello." Draco said in a confused voice
"I'm sitting her because there's nowhere else"I replied while rolling my eyes Smoothy
"Woooo..hooo..hooo" he and his minions howled, laughing
I give him a slight dirty look and started to eat.
I had never been fond of the breakfast food I have always lade low with it ..I always find something.
About 25 mins pasted and we had finally been dismissed to go to are first lesson. To be honesty I was very excited potions because i could be partners with Cedric if he wanted to be, I walked in quite quickly to my lesson with a bit of excitement in my step.
"Y/n come be with me" Cedric jumped out
"Oh ced hi" I replied happily
"Nice sleep?" He asked smiling
"Yea it was fine, you? " I answered
I hope he couldn't see a lying look on my face. I didn't want to lie to him but if he was to ask me why? What would I say " Well ..I was tossing and turning all night think about you"
"Yea, it was amazing thanks for asking" he said
We looked into each others eyes deeply in that moment. That's when I truly realised that I was ...well in love with him, and that he might be too.
"What's are potions today then"Cedric asked trying to bind his way out of that attention grabbing moment
"Good question diggory, and I'm sure you will do your best to resist looking at  miss y/sn and pay attention to the lesson instead"Snape replied with a devilish tone in his voice
Snape slowly turned around to preform what we would be making in this lesson, and when Snape had his full back turned Cedric looked to me and shook his head.
What did that mean? He couldn't resist looking at me?

"That was boring we didn't even get to make are potion"I snorted out with an annoyed look on my face
"Yea it would have been so fun to make one with you" Cedric said openly
Next we had a class meeting with Mcgonagall, these were the easiest lessons to get though
"Do you want to sit with me next lesson"Cedric asked nicely
Fleury in my next lesson .. she will understand
"Yes ! Of course" I answered a bit to bubbly
We walked into the small hall were mcgonagall was standing , with also flinch behind her getting a record on a large record player playing.
"Boys to the left ,girls to the right" Mcgonagall shouted slightly
"See you later then" Cedric said
I smiled at him and when to sit with fleur
"Hi" she whispered
"Hey"I whispered back to her
We looked at each other and hugged
"Ok then everyone today we will be talking about a very exciting school event going on this weekend here at hogwarts"Mcgonagall announced to the class.
Everyone started mumbling about what this event may be, which progressively got louder and louder.
"Sshhh..shh..shh this event is called the Yule ball" Mcgonagall spitted out before the mumbling would continue
Most of the girls gasped with joy we're as the boys did the opposite.
"Yes ..sssshhh the Yule ball is first and foremost a dance" Mcgonagall said

The day had pasted I had had no contact with Cedric since second period but I had an hour till dinner with Cedric.
I was weirdly nervous about this, so I decided I was going to ask fleur for some help
"Sooo ..the Yule ball" she approached the words Yule ball with such a strange amount of caution
"What about it" I responded
"Are you exited for it ??" fleur questioned me as if I was a murder suspect.
"Of course I am ..do you want anyone to ask you?" I asked in a tone as if I didn't really care but that wasn't visible to her.
"No..maybe Ron although he is a year younger what about you?" She replied with a voice as if she knew who or what I was going to say.
"No ..I don't think so.."I responded
I felt bad ..I think that was one of the biggest lies I've ever told, my true answer to that would be "yes I really want Cedric diggory to ask me more than anything in the world" but I didn't really want fleur to know I like him because she'll make a big deal out of it most probably.
"What about Cedric diggory you are going on a date with him right now" she said suspiciously
"Maybe ..it's not a date"I replied in denial of her suspicions
"Come on let's get you ready for this date...I mean encounter with Cedric diggory" fleur said

I had done my hair and a small amount of makeup for this encounter with Cedric ...I want to look perfect although I didn't want to make a big thing out of a dinner, in the main hall, with 100 other students in the room.
Fleur had already gone down for dinner when I was just finishing up. I quickly walked into the hall and spotted Cedric at the end of the middle table, I gave him a small wave and slowly jogged toward him
"Hi"I said a little embarrassed
"Hi I like your eye liner it's really cool" he complimented
This is a weird thing to think but just think that was so wholesome and cute
"Oh..thanks it takes me like two minutes to do"I answered laughing
"It's beautiful"he smiled
That's all I needed his warm welcoming smile in the end it made me forget about everything bad in life, and in those moments when he smiles at me like that I can only think about him.
"Soo the..Yule ball what you thinking about it" he questioned curiously
"I'm really excited I can't wait to go"I answered happily as if I wasn't asking for a invite
"Me too ..me too" he replied
We had are dinner and chatted about random things like are favourite songs,foods,films are etc. for about 30 minutes, then we were all dismissed to are dorms house by house.
When I had to leave Cedric gave me a warm hug and whispered in my ear
" I will be seeing you tomorrow for breakfast yea"
"Sure"I whispered back
