As the sun begins to set, Dream once again closes the sail, and we drift forward for a few more moments before coming to an almost stop. Looking over at him, he meets my eye and nods slightly, not offering any kind of conversation. Biting the inside of my lip, I debate what to do next.

It's only been a short time on the ocean, and I'm already bored out of my mind. I can't imagine how bad it is for him; he probably has some form of undiagnosed ADHD. He's constantly fidgeting and humming, and usually it doesn't bother me, but as of late, it's been driving me crazy.

We could just make out to pass the time. My mind says. Shut up, don't be dumb. I respond back. Sighing lightly, I try not to think about all the possibilities of what Dream and I could be, if I let us.

It's just too risky. If things don't go well, I'd lose him, and I can't lose him. Better to suffer like this than to potentially lose him.

"You want a bite?" Dream's voice breaks me from my thoughts, and I turn, my gaze meeting the snack bar that he's holding out to me. Confusion clouds my mind for a few moments, and then I realize that he's offering me a bite of his food.

Looking away from the item in his hands, our eyes meet, and Dream's raises an eyebrow, clearly wondering why I haven't spoken a yes or no. In the moment, the stupid side of me takes over my actions, and I lean forward, maintaining eye contact with Dream, taking a bite of the food in his hand.

His lips part slightly as I pull away, and I force myself to not blush, the heat rushing through my veins like lava. I hear his breath come out shakily, and I chew quietly, finally breaking eye contact and looking away.

"What..." Dream starts quietly, trailing off before getting to his question. I hum in response, asking him to finish his sentence without actually saying it. After I finish the bite, Dream's mouth closes slightly, and the edge of my lips twitch upwards.

My heart races on, thinking back about what just happened. Why did I just do that? That was so weird, I'm such an idiot. A large rush of warmth finds its way to my face, causing it to go bright red in embarrassment. I look as far away from Dream as I can, not wanting to see his reaction to my stupidity.

He coughs lightly and clears his throat, and from the corner of my eye, I see him tentatively take another bite, almost as if he's worried about it. Clenching my jaw, I force myself to focus on something else.

The waves are kind of rough today. I think. Hopefully they don't get too bad. It would be a disaster if... No, think positive, George. Nothing bad is going to happen. Not while you still have Dream at your side.

As I let my mind wander slightly, a soft smile twitches at the edge of my lips, and I rest my chin into my palm again, watching the horizon with a newfound optimism. We can do this; We can find this Utopia in one piece.

I begin to daydream about the possibilities of our lives after we've found our safe haven, or made our own, if the Utopia doesn't really exist. We could build a house together, start a farm, all the necessary things to do to live. Would we be together? Or would we merely be best friends for life, always wondering if we could be more, my own fright and commitment issues blocking us from what could be.
