When I wake, the sea is calm, and all feels right in the world. Dream is at my side, his arm secured firmly around my torso, and I smile softly and contentedly.

Who could've guessed that this random man that almost attacked me would be this close to me, and me so close to him. It's odd, really. We were complete strangers, but being around him, talking to him; it just felt so normal. I guess that's why we took to each other so quickly.

Dream stirs in my sleep, pressing his cheek into my back and sighing. I can't help but roll my eyes. He's so cute.

I thread my fingers through his, deciding then to let him sleep. I should probably check to make sure there's no land around us that we could stop at, or even the Utopia, but I really don't want to break this moment. I'm really not sure how many more we could get; anything could happen, especially at sea. (foreshadowing... nahhh...)

After a few more minutes, he seems to realize that I'm awake, and he stirs again, this time making all sorts of noises in complaint and stretching his arms and legs dramatically over his head.

"Good morning, baby." His voice is still thick with sleep, and my heart flutters with the simple pet name. Suppressing a stupid grin, I hum in response.

"Morning." My reply is simple, not nearly as sweet as his, but it is what it is. I've never been one for pet names, but in this case, I don't mind. Not at all.

"I have a feeling we're getting close." He says out of nowhere, his voice becoming clearer by the second. I blink, taking in what he's just said.

"Yeah?" I question, not completely sure if I should believe his thought.

"I'm nearly positive. It's the same feeling that I got from a few days ago, that we were getting close to the coast." I click my tongue and nod my head, agreeing with him that it's probably not unlikely then.

He unwraps his arm from around my waist, and the area feels cold at the loss of contact, but I don't convey that to Dream. That would be embarrassing.

"I hope." I say suddenly. "It's getting boring out here, doing basically the same thing day in and day out. I'm ready to be on land." He hums, agreeing with me.

"Yeah. I can't wait for the solid ground again. I love being on the water but this is a bit ridiculous, even for me." He says, sitting up and gazing all around us; no doubt, he's surveying our surroundings, figuring out if he needs to make any adjustments or not. Dream goes to the controls and adjusts a few things, and I sit up, turning to lean my back against the side of the boat.

I cast my gaze over the barren ocean, taking in the sight of water for as long as I can see. It's beautiful, but wow, I'm getting tired of it.

My mind begins to wander as Dream sits at the back of the boat, staring straight ahead and humming along to a tune. A question rises to the back of my throat before I can stop it.

"Why did Technoblade and Wilbur know who you were?" I blurt, my cheeks turning slightly pink from the informality of the inquiry. His eyes turn to me, and I can't read the expression on his face, but I almost swear that I see a hint of pride in his eyes.

"Like I said before, I've gotten into a lot of fights in my past. Made a lot of enemies. I guess I've just made a sort of name for myself. Some people admire my courage, I reckon. Most just think I'm stupid for meddling in things that aren't my concern." He shrugs, as if it's the most normal thing in the world.
