Chanyeol's point of view

Baekhyun and I were happily chatting away in the car on the way to my house.
I had asked him to come over after classes today because my parents were dying to meet the person I haven't managed to shut up about for the past couple of weeks.
Driving into our street I noticed red and blue lights flashing, coming from down the road.
The further we got down the road the more I realised those lights were coming from police cars stationed on the driveway of my parents house.

Immediately my mind wandered off to my sister.
Was Hyuna okay, did she come home?
I guess there was only one way to find out and that was to walk into the house and see what was going on.

Hesitantly Baekhyun and I got out of the car, walking up to the front door.
I carefully opened the door and walked inside, Baekhyun following closely behind me as he held onto my arm.
Muffled voices were coming from around the corner, where the kitchen was located.
Just as I was about to walk into the kitchen I felt a pull on my arm, turning around I noticed Baekhyun had stopped dead in his tracks, staring at something in front of us.
Turning back around I realised why Baekhyun had stopped walking, leaning against the wall beside the kitchen entrance was none other than my sister.
Immediately I put up my guard, pushing Baekhyun behind me and getting ready to attack if needed.
When Hyuna didn't move at all I was confused, that is until I studied her closer.
Her clothes were torn, cuts and bruises littering her entire body as she stood there against the wall shaking.
Just as I was about to walk up to her worried about what happened to her, my mother walked out of the kitchen.
As soon as she spotted us she tried to smile but I could still see the pain in her eyes.
My mother took all three of us back into the kitchen, where a group of police officers was still talking to my dad.
After a brief introduction as to who we were, we all sat down around the kitchen table.
Feeling Baekhyun's distress practically radiating off of him I instinctively pulled him into my lap to keep him safe.
Baekhyun immediately cuddled up against my chest before a very long afternoon of hidden truths and dangers began.
The police officers asked some questions as to what had happened that day, directed at Baekhyun and I.
After giving our explanations about that day the police officers glanced at Hyuna.
One of the officers, a very nice looking beta woman asked Hyuna If she wanted to tell us what really happened that day.
Hyuna stayed silent for a while, her eyes shifting around the room fast as if she was looking for something.
She looked absolutely terrified sitting there shaking, what in the world could have happened to her these past weeks?
Eventually Hyuna's eyes landed on Baekhyun, taking a deep breath before she spoke up.

Hyuna explained that a man had approached her about a month and a half ago asking her to help him with something.
At first Hyuna just wanted to walk away but then she explained that the man started threatening her.
She said he knew everything about her, about her husband and even about my parents and I.
He started telling her that he would start hurting us one by one if she didn't cooperate with him and how he could make us all disappear without a trace.
Hyuna had tried to go to the police but he had caught her and locked her up for a couple of days.
After that Hyuna was so terrified of him that she decided to just do what he asked, afraid he would hurt us if she didn't
That is when the man told her about his plans.
The initial plan was just to take Baekhyun as he was walking home after classes but that plan was stopped when I had driven him home that day.
After that the man had come up with another plan.
Hyuna was to take Baekhyun to an abandoned building and tie him up.
After that he told her to get me to come over there too under the guise of the man wanting to get to me instead of Baekhyun.
When I would arrive the man had told her to just take me and leave Baekhyun there.
She said she didn't know anything about the bomb until she heard the ticking sound herself.
That is why she untied Baekhyun quickly and ran off,
As she ran out of the room she was hit on her head causing her to black out, but she clearly remembered that she didn't close the door to the room when she ran out.
This meant that the man that had approached her had to have been at the building already.
He closed the door and hit Hyuna, knocking her unconscious before he took her away.
The past couple of weeks she had spent locked up in a building not that far from the warehouse we were at that day.
She said the man had kept beating her because he was angry his plan failed.
Eventually last evening the man had left the building but he had forgotten to tie Hyuna up again after he had taken her to the bathroom.
When Hyuna was sure she heard the tires screeching against the gravel, indicating that the man had left, she gathered all the strength she had left and managed to escape.
She had been walking the entire night until she reached the police station and that is how she got here.

During the entire explanation I had noticed Baekhyun tensed up more and more.
As soon as Hyuna finished talking Baekhyun shot up looking absolutely panicked.
'Baek what's going on?' I asked him, careful not to startle or scare him any more.
'I have to make sure my mom is okay Chanyeol,he...I... That man that Hyuna is talking about... he is my father.' Baekhyun said, his voice shaking as he frantically tried to pull his phone out of his pocket.
'Baek? what are you saying, how can that man be your father... Baek calm down!' I said, grabbing Baekhyun and holding him tight as I could sense the full blown panic hat he felt.

Baekhyun took a deep breath, grounding himself before he spoke up again.
'I really hoped I never had to tell anyone about this but... Do any of you remember that news about a man from Bucheon and his family a while ago?'

'You mean the news about a man almost killing his son?'

'Yeah I euhm. That is me and that person is my father. That day I tried to stop him from hurting my mother, he... he got angry and grabbed his gun. For a while he just threatened to shoot me, this gave my mother the time to call the cops. Right before the sirens were hurt he shot me, hitting my shoulder. As he was about to shoot again sirens could be heard and he escaped.' Baekhyun spoke up but I could see he wasn't telling us everything, that was alright though he didn't have to.

"Baek' I whispered softly, pulling him even closer.

'After that my mother and I moved to Seoul and we really thought we had escaped from him. That is until he suddenly appeared at our front door demanding to speak to me. I yelled at him and eventually he left but his last words to me were. "You've become a pretty brave boy to yell at an alpha like that. what a pity you could never win a fight against one." My mother had called the cops once again and they surveyed the area but they couldn't find him. After that it stayed silent so I thought he just gave up, I guess I should have known better.'
Baekhyun said, turning to look at Hyuna with pain and sadness in his eyes.

After the police had taken the entire story they left, promising to go check out the location of the abandoned building Hyuna had given them.
Fortunately they didn't arrest Hyuna because Baekhyun had told them he wasn't going to press charges.
As soon as the police had left a deafening silence filled the room.
Let's just hope they would get that man soon so he wouldn't be able to hurt anyone ever again.

While my mother took Hyuna upstairs to get her cleaned up and treated, Baekhyun called his mother, giving her the address to the house and asking her to come over right away.
As soon as his mother arrived the entire explanation began again, guess this would be a long and tiring night.
