The dim lights above the dining table began to rattle as the house started shaking. If the Jacks had home that week, they may have been able to prevent the story I am about to tell from happening, but Tyler their 15-year-old son won a week-long trip to France, the same week in which this story takes place.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacks had given Tyler 3 raffle tickets, so the whole family had gone to see if they had won anything. Tyler's hope for winning anything had been demolished as there was only one category left which was the trip to France. Tyler had bid for this but so had everyone else currently sitting in the hall, there was no chance that he would win.
The announcer Mr. Breat had a big bool of numbers correlating to the cards sitting in everyone's hands. It seemed like an eternity before Mr. Breat pulled out the winning number, and an eternity more before he finally started reading it.
"And the winner is number 382750172..."
"I just need one more number to get it," thought Tyler just one more number, I have a one in tenth chance now. his knee started bouncing up and down as he waited for the announcer to say the last number.
"... 3 may the person with the number I called please come to claim your prize of a vacation in France."
Tyler jumped out of his seat and ran through the aisle, he didn't care how childish it made him look, because out of the entire room of 200 people Tyler was the one who won the trip to France, France one of the most magical places on earth.
