you kept your gaze on the tall man as he turned around,  and noticed you for the first time since walking into the park.

"y/n." his voice was warm, something you loved to hear, sweet like the sun after a cold day.

"yes, that's my name." you said as he reached a hand down as a gesture to help you get up. 

you grabbed his hand, sliding your phone back down your pocket on your pants. 

as you turned back to him, he asked, "walk?" 

you nodded, starting to walk forward with schlatt keeping up your slow pace beside you.

you looked around the park, admiring its beauty again. 

the smell of the park was nice too, not like other parks you've been to before.

it felt like a while of slow walking until schlatt talked.

 "im sorry."

"what?" you said, slightly confused, turning your head to him.

"I said im sorry. I was really stupid." he said without making eye contact.

"you were," you stated. he scoffed.

"but I was too. I didn't take time to think about what I was going to say."

you both knew what you were referring to. the night, the stars.

you went back to the moment, the hours that you both sat there, gazing at the beautiful sight that the sky gave to us. the moment felt stuck in time.

you snapped back into reality as you flicked your eyes back over to him.

he looked puzzled. 

"you okay?" you asked.

"mm.. mhm." he hummed.

you walked sideways and nudged him, causing his gaze to land on you.

"don't worry about it man, we all make mistakes," you assured.

"your just an  extra idiot." you laughed.

"oh shut your goddamn mouth-" he said, laughing lightly to himself.

"hey um, give me a second." you said, waving to him as you walked into the woman's bathroom in the park.

you pulled out your phone, leaning against the wall in the bathroom.

after sending the message, you washed your hands and walked out of the bathroom.

schlatt was standing a bit away, on his phone aswell, so you snuck up behind him, and got behind him quietly. 

once you are right behind him, you whisper-shouted, "boo!!" 

apparently he didn't hear you because schlatt reacted with a "Fu-" and almost dropped his phone on the concrete of the park path.

"hahahha.." you said, putting your hand over your mouth to not be too loud. schlatt turned around with a shocked face, turning around, seeing you, his face shifting into a small smile.

"your so cute.." he mumbled.

"what was that?" you said, hearing him completely fine but wanting to hear it again.

"I said, your so dumb." he corrected himself louder.

"aww. your 'dumb' too." you said, him scoffing at your obvious comment. 

"hungry?" he asked, and you noticed how hungry. you were. you didn't eat before coming to see schlatt, you were a nervous wreck. 

"very." you responded.

you and schlatt went to a small bakery on the edge of the town, 15-20 minute walk. you guys talked the whole way there, random topics and teasing each other. 

after the fact, you insisted that he let you pay, but there was little to no chance he was going to allow that. he payed for the bagel and coffee you got, and his coffee too.

"you should have let me at least pay half.." you whined.

"chill y/n, it was just a few bucks. don't worry about it." he shrugged your comment off.

"hmph." you said, crossing your arms and pouting.

schlatt cracked a small smile at your baby-ness. 

"awweee, does the little baby pouty-wouting?" he teased in a babying voice.

"hmph." you said, still having your arms crossed and fake frown plastered on your face.

"c'mere." he said, proceeding to pull you into a hug. you had to shuffle your arms out from infront of you to hug him back, then closing your eyes, mumbling,

"your warm," 

he smiled and responded, "no, your just cold." 

it was around 5:30 now, you both had been out for 2 hours. you didn't bring a jacket because youdidnt think you'd be around for that long.

you hummed, agreeing to his comment. 

he pulled away slightly, looking at you.

you opened your eyes at the slight loss of warmth, looking back at him.

"mmm?" you hummed. 

"lets get you a jacket, okay?" he asked.

"yeah.." you responded, pulling away completely.

you both walked home, by the time you both got back to your small apartment it was 6pm. 

you thanked him for the food and walking you home and closed your door, him walking in the direction of Carsons home.

you sighed. the day went a lot better then you thought it would, definitely.

you shuffled to your room and closed the door, setting your phone on your nightstand and flopping down onto your bed. you smiled as you quietly fell asleep, happy about how well the night went.
