"That didn't go as bad as it could have," I mumbled to myself as I scrubbed the shampoo into my hair. Once Brit had asked for a better and more in-depth explanation, Shawn had stepped in to formally introduce himself. He had forgone the hat and sunglasses to prove his identity. My best friend had reacted to that in her own way. She was a bit flustered because of his status but mainly it was from surprise. Brit had sat on the bed as we told her about the screaming fans and the paparazzi. Her focus switched back and forth from Shawn to I as we talked about how we had to run. She laughed at how I had called him a muttonhead. She also glared at Shawn at the mention of him offering his room for the night. I reassured her nothing had happened. Shawn was polite and mature about the situation we both had gotten stuck in. I could not explain everything though.

I had asked Shawn if he could tell her the rest because I needed to shower and change clothes. Shawn and Brittny looked a little wary of being left with each other. They did not argue because they both knew I really need to freshen up.

The water felt comforting against my skin. It was warm which really felt nice. I wish I could stay a bit longer to relax but I knew time was limited. I grabbed a towel, drying myself off as I got out. I wrapped my hair up in the towel as I slipped on my bra and underwear. I hurried up with the rest of my routine.

I had just finished blow drying my hair when I caught a bit of Shawn and Brit's conversation.

"I'm surprised she hasn't told you to leave." Brit said.

My eyes widened at this. I quickly pulled on my clothes as I continued to listen. I grabbed my makeup bag as Shawn's voice asked, "Why do you say that?"

Yeah, Brit, why?

"You're saying she hasn't said anything to you? Told you to leave?"

"I mean yeah she did a couple of times at first but why do you say it like that? Is it normal for her to run into celebrities?" He sounded amused by the last question. I rolled my eyes at that before continuing to apply my mascara.

"No. But she did know one before he became one." My face fell as I realized where this conversation was going. I felt my heart heavy as I glanced around me. I picked up the towels, hanging them from the shower door. I occupied my self with picking up my belonging as their words carried in the background.

"I don't understand what you're saying." Shawn responded, his voice was confused. He also sounded cautious about continuing the conversation.

"You don't have to. All you need to know is that Athena does not need false hope." Brit said.

I quickly shook my head. The conversation was not going to continue. I decided to walk out at that moment asking, "Hey, Brit?"

"Yeah, Athena!" She said focusing on my presence. Their little chit chat ending now that I appeared from the bathroom.

"Where is my bag?" I asked. I already had seen it sitting by the chair near the window. I just needed to distract myself. Brit pointed to where my bag was located. I grabbed the Vera Bradley bag placing my arms through the straps.

"Ready?" I asked placing a smile on my face. I truly was excited about what the rest of the day would hold.

"Uh, Athena. What about him?" Brit asked pointing at Shawn.

"He will be joining me – well us." I said as I tied the laces of my converse.

"That's fine by me." Shawn said slightly smirking in my direction. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Why?" Brit asked, but I knew her question held more weight to it.

"Why not?" I threw back at her, already growing annoyed. I did not want to acknowledge what she was trying to ask.

"People will notice him. Our classmates are going to ask questions." Brit stated the obvious reasons although I knew that was the last thing she really wanted to say.

"We only have to be by everyone when we are in the lobby. We can go off by ourselves after." I stated not backing down.

"Fine, I just hope you know what you're doing."

I nodded at her. Letting a small smile form on my face. It grew when she smiled back. Brit is just looking out for me, but she knows I would never do anything without thinking things through. The moment was broken when Shawn decided to voice in. "She will be fine. Besides nobody will recognize me with these." He gestured to his hat and glasses.

"Whatever." Brit and I laughed at him. I could tell by the small frown Shawn had rolled his eyes at us. A small sigh had escaped his lips though, before someone decided to knock on our door.

"Come on, girls! Let's get a move on!" I groaned at the sound of Bradly's voice.

"Better hurry up. Brad was so sad when you didn't wish him goodnight Goddess." Steve laughed while Bradly told him to shut up. All three of us stood still as we realized a problem. Everyone will be waking up and leaving their rooms to head down to the lobby. Unfortunately, that means people will notice a guy leaving Brit and I's room.

"Who's that?" Shawn whispered pointing towards the door.

"Two of our classmates." I spoke.

"Tweedled Dumb and Tweedled Dee." Brit responded with such a serious face I couldn't help but laugh.

"We have a problem." Shawn muttered as he quickly checks the peep hole on the door.

"Yeah, no kidding." Brit said as she hurriedly grabbed her small bag. She walked over to Shawn, pushing him out of the way so she can look. "Just a couple of minutes!" She said loudly.

"You two need to come up with something fast," she whispered as she drags Shawn away from the door. I tried to conceal my chuckle at the sight of Shawn being dragged by Brit. She isn't that tall to begin with. "Some of the teachers are outside – even students. We will probably get suspended if they notice a guy leaving the room. I don't think they will care if it even is Shawn Mendes."

"What should we do then?" I asked, my nerves very noticeable in my voice.

"I have an idea!" Shawn said with a grin forming on his face.

"Why do I get the feeling it is something really crazy?" Brit asked.

"Don't worry it'll be fine."
