The car ride to school was awkward. Not only had (Y/n) never really spoken to anyone other than her mother for most of her life, she was getting irritated vibes from her mentor.

She wasn't sure if it was the fact he was tired or just simply looked like that.

The boy Shinsou sat next to her in the back seat and played on his phone. She was yet to receive one and wasn't really complaining. She never had a phone because her mother could never afford one, that and it wasnt what God wanted. Most of the money was spent on food and medication, and a piece of clothing from time to time.

She looked out the window for most of the ride and stared at the sky for any weirdly shaped clouds. Her knee bounced up and down out of nervousness, and she didn't bother to stop it from doing so.

She was nervous. Overthinking how the uniform looked on her, and if it showed too much skin. Or maybe it was all in her head, if not she would just have to deal with the weird stares.

"Are you nervous?"

(Y/n) heard Mr. Aizawa's deep voice from the front seat and nodded her head, "Yes. Only a little though."

"Its normal, the school that is. Nothing to be nervous about."

She smiled and nodded her head again. Refusing to meet his tired eyes in the rear view mirror.

Mr. Aizawa made her nervous. Once again she wasn't sure if it was his tired look or just the fact she had never spoken to anyone outside of her household in years.

She could smell him. His smell was quite nice and it also made her nervous. He smelled rich, like a man with money. Expensive cologne and cigars. He smelled mature, like he knows the world and its people like the back of his hand.

It even surprised her that he could sense her nervousness, all the more making her more nervous.

She noticed the difference between him and Shinsou's smell. Shinsou smelt normal, like an average teenage boy. Like laundry and strongly of Marijuana.

He seemed out of it as well. His eyes bloodshot and half way shut, very obviously intoxicated.

(Y/n) sat closer to the window because of that. Her mother always warned her about people that did drugs, especially teenagers. Most of them were born on the wrong side of the track and would end up in hell's arms.

She didn't want to end up in hell, but she also didn't want to be a prude and ignore his presence.

"Shinsou will give you a tour of the school, and make sure you know your way around by the end of the day"

Shinsou looked up and nodded, and then back down at his phone.

"Okay" she fumbled with the end of her skirt, "Thank you"

The car came to stop which happened to be in front of the school, "I'll also be picking you up here in the same spot, be on a look out for my car"

"Yes sir" she got out of the car and noticed he parked at a 'reserved parking spot' spot.

Her eyes widened and immediately went to the thought that he was special. After all the parking spot had been reserved for him, that is special.

(Y/n) walked past the car and held onto the straps of her backpack tightly. Her legs felt numb and the tips of her fingers felt fuzzy. There were so many people around the school. In every nook and cranny. So many people in the same uniform, it was like they were a part of some cult.

The school itself looked clean and well cared for. But the people were just average. Most looked high, others looked tired, some had tattoos, and others had piercings.

She swore she must've looked like an obvious saint to them. Innocent looking, and not just her outer appearance but her behavior.

The way she gripped her straps, the way she refused to look up from the ground, her obvious chest rising up and down with every breath.

She blinked and looked around for Shinsou though he was nowhere to be seen. It was like the world was spinning and everyone was getting closer and closer. Her head felt light as she looked around and around, trying to find someone to help the rapid beating in her chest.

"Hey (Y/n)" she jumped once she felt a hand grab her shoulder.

It was Shinsou, "Sorry I had to go talk to some friends, follow me."

"Yes, alright" she followed him and saw as he just walked through the crowd with ease.

Not even batting an eye. It was like he belonged, like he was normal and had been doing this for years. They both walked into the building and down the large hall. (Y/n)'s eyes widened as they entered, surprised at how nice and big everything was.

"Okay so, this is your first period class, and over there is your second" he pointed across the hall.

"You have third period with Aizawa and me. He teaches here, not sure if he told you that or not.."

She shook her head no, "He didn't".

"This whole hall and the one upstairs has all of your classes. Consider yourself lucky you don't have to walk around all over the place"

She nodded her head.

"I suppose you need me to show you the cafeteria right?"

"No, I think i saw it" She lied.

"Alright, see ya later"

Shinsou walked away and (Y/n) followed him with her eyes. Once he was gone she reached for the pocket in her shirt which held a slip of paper she received from Aizawa before they drove to the school.

It was her schedule. It included the area and number of the class rooms, which caused her to smile in relief. Glad she wouldn't permanently forget her classrooms thanks to the slip Aizawa gave her. She couldn't tell if she was smiling at the relief of her classes or the fact Aizawa could be so kind as to write them all down for her. (Y/n) folded the paper and stuck it back in her shirt pocket.

The loud bell rang through the halls as a sign to get a move on, which she did.
