Surprise

"Only another hour until we land!" Vikki said from right next to me. Alex, Vikki and I were flying out to Los Angeles for our huge opportunity to partner with Playboy for this month's issue. At the same time, we had the added excitement of surprising my best friend and Alex's little brother. Our other childhood friend, and Victoria's boyfriend, Max, was helping keep our secret and coordinate our surprise. He was letting us know updates on their day. Tim thinks he has a stressful day of meetings all set up, but Max really has Tim in the office doing mindless tasks while we fly over to his office and surprise him before going out for the day.

The last hour of our flight seemed to drag on, since my excitement was making time seem like it moved in slow motion. I was also starting to get hangry and want to land to go get brunch. Max had texted me over snapchat, interrupting my thoughts. 

Max: Hey! I'm parking out front now and heading in to wait for you guys! Let me know when you're about to land.
Me: Okay! We've got about 45 more mins

About a half hour later, after I posted my plane window view on Instagram as a teaser, I got a text from Tim. 

Tim: Where you off to today, missy? ✈️
Me: None of your business, sir

Despite the afternoon of Tim's schedule being falsified, his morning meetings were actually happening to make up for his afternoon off. He just so happened to scroll on IG as his business partners were taking a short break, and saw that Ash was flying somewhere which was strange because she always kept him updated on what she was doing. He decided to text her, to take his stressed mind off of the work meeting.

Ashley's seemingly mindless response riddled with sarcastic attitude left Tim biting his lip in his work meeting. Ashley had always had a sarcastic, flirty attitude, and since college, it has always turned Tim on, despite him always having kept that a secret from his best friend. 

Tim: Why so secretive? 
Me: Don't you have some big work meeting this morning? Get off IG

I immediately showed Vikki and Alex that Tim was texting me. "Oh my God, do you think he knows?" Alex asked. "No way. He's probably in the middle of a meeting and trying to distract himself." I said, going to snapchat to text Max. 

Me: Lol! Tim is asking where I'm going!! He doesn't know right!?
Max: No way, he is stressing because I made up a fake afternoon schedule with back to back meetings lol oops he def hates me
Me: Ya well he can suck it up in about 2 more hours

Suddenly it was announced that we were landing and I updated Max about our ETA. About another half hour later, we were getting off of the plane. "I see Max!" Alex shouted, so that both Vikki and I, and Max could hear her. He looked towards us, and we sped up to meet in the middle. Of course the love birds had their own greeting first, and finally he turned to greet us too.

"Maxi pad!" I said excitingly, using the nickname he's always hated, but laughed at. "Alright, so do you guys want to drop your stuff at your hotel room first, or just head over to the offices?" Max asked, helping us with our heavy bags. "Oh, well playboy put us up in a gorgeous air bnb, excuse you." I informed Max. "Oh my, you guys are really getting the VIP treatment, huh?" He asked, as we all followed him to baggage claim.

"Dude, seriously! I couldn't even believe that they reached out to me in the first place." I said, as we grabbed our bags off of the conveyer belt to get a move along. "Oh please. You have one of the most successful boutiques in Boston, and launched your own successful line of lingerie!" Vikki said, being my usual hype woman.

"And you're hot as fuck, so everyone's going to want to buy up next month's issue. Duh." Max threw in, and we all laughed at that comment, yes, even Victoria. Vikki and Max are the two least jealous people I've ever met, probably because they've been dating for so long at this point, they know that they have nothing to worry about. After we got to Max's Tesla, I put the air bnb's address into his car's GPS system and we got there in a short 20 minutes. We pulled up to a gorgeous house, and couldn't believe that this is where we would be staying for the next week.
