(Jerome's POV - Almost present time a few mounths earlier)
It was a chillinh night in October. Me and Mitch just walking around the city, roaming. We came to the park we used to play at before we ran. Everything was the same. Duh, I told myself. We only ran away like 8 years ago.
Anyway, Mitch and I walked over to the swings and sat down. Gently swinging back and forth with our feet. We looked at the city. With the light on the building, shining like stars.
"Nothing changed," said Mitch.
"It has," I said "We just can't see it yet.
Mitch looked at me, grabbed my hand, and smiled in the saddest way.
"You're right. It has changed." said a voice.
"People are different now," said another.
"Who are you? Show yourslef!" I yelled as I jumped off the swing.
"There is no time." said one
"They are coming," said the other.
In the backround faint police sirens are heard.
"What do you mean," asked Mitch.
"Searchers are coming," said the first voice.
"We need to go," said the second.
"Where?" I asked, frightened.
"No time to explain," said one of the voices "Follow us."
Two dark siloettes jump from a tree and ran a few feet away, waiting for us.Mitch looks at me, scared.
"It's OK Biggums. Lets go." I said, while grabbing his hand back.
"Hackup"
