(Mitch's POV) - 2 years ago
Run. I have to run. Farther and farther away from that man that hurt my Bacca. There are trees all around us. I look down. OMG! There are hairys growing rapidly out of his arms. His head tilts back and his are now sharp and pointy. He tilts his head back up and opens his eyes.
"Biggums, set me down and go get wood," he wispers.
"I can't," I said "You're gonna die."
"No i'm not. Trust me. I don't want you to see me like this."
I had no choice. I set him down by a tree and started to walk away. My heart heavy in my hands.
(Jerome's POV)
He listened. He set me up against a tree and left. I look at the arrow in my shoulder. I know what I have to do.
My body begins to change into my Bacca form. I raise up my paw and pulled the arrow out. I have done this many times before I even meet my Benja.
The wound is bleeding heavily but, I know it will stop soon. As my wound heals, I know I'll need stiches.
I'm so tired. I can't hold my eyes open anymore. I fall asleep.
(Mitch's POV)
I come back to see my Bacca asleep against a tree and the arrow beside him. He looks normal except for the hole in the shoulder that looks like he will need stiches. I grabbed a first aid kit out of my pocket and got to work on it.( Don't ask why he has one in his pocket) It was getting dark out so I built a house with the wood. I made two beds also. I picked him up and set him on one of the beds. I'm so tried so I move to the other bed. I was so tired also that I put the beds next to each other. I felt Jerome's warm body and I snuggled into it.
"Hi biggums," Jerome said "Go to sleep,"
"Hackup."
And I fell asleep.
