Chapter 1

You had just gotten back from a brutal fight within wall Maria, helping other scouts to get rid of Titans. Your body was exhausted and it was nearing the end of your long day. You've just been recruited to join the scouts, since they were desperate for more members, as many died each day throughout the ongoing, never ending battle with the tall horrific creatures.

You used your 3D Maneuver Gear to soar across buildings, avoiding titans as you made your way back into Wall Rose. Eren had just sealed Wall Rose with the giant Boulder, and you and the scouts finished getting rid of the Titans within Wall Rose. You all now had moved to Wall Maria to continue the ongoing fight. You had heard from Hange, that they planned for Eren to use his hardening power to seal Wall Maria. It seemed risky, but they were going on ahead to pursue the plan.
You flew across one building after another, finally returning back to head counters where the other scouts who had already returned, were resting in their bunks in or in a dining room eating with what food they had.

You were dirty, your clothes covered in dust and dirt along with your gear that was nearly out of gas. Thank god you had made it back with what you've had. You walked inside, your long hair up in a ponytail and your boots clanked against the tile floor. You walked to the room where the scouts removed their gear and set it in their designated spot.
After doing so, you felt light and so much better like a weight was lifted off of you.
You rubbed your face with your dirty hands, just feeling great to get that gear off your body. As you headed out of the room, your body was met with another, as someone else rounded the corner and you both clashed into each other, causing you to stumble backward, taking a few steps back with a surprised expression on your face. The other stumbled, and since they had more weight on them due to the gear, they let out a yelp as their gear was heard hitting the ground along with themselves, hitting the floor and falling onto their butt.
You widen your eyes with surprise as you looked.

"I'm so sorry!" You bursted out as you go over to lend a hand, but noticed the other person furrowing their brows and going to stand back up, "It's Alright" they reply and you two locked eyes as the other looked up at you.

"Armin!" You say with surprise. He ended up taking your hand for support as he stood himself back up, saying thank you in the process.

"Are you just now getting here? I'd thought you'd have gotten here before me." You tell him, letting go of his hand and looking him over. He looked to be in the same physical state as you.

"You look exhausted. Let me help you take it off," You offer to help as you watch him walk slowly into the room and you reach down, unclipped the gear and helped him remove both from his body. It hit the floor gently as Armin didn't want to damage it. He sighs out an exhausted sigh before looks over at you and smiling tiredly,
"Thank you y/n", he said in a thankful tone and you nod in return and gave a curious expression, "What took you so long Armin?" You had to ask.

"Ah.." He gave an awkward smile and rubbed behind his neck, "I had to find Mikasa to take Eren back. He wouldn't return back, even if I tried to take him. He was really into slaughtering and set in getting rid of all the Titans in the wall." Armin shook his head softly as he moved his hand back down and away from his own and gazed downward. You notice his troubled and worried expression and go over to him and place a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, let's relax and go get a bite to eat and lay down, alright?" You offer, since you two shared a bunk room in the courters. He nodded in agreement,
"That sounds wonderful," Armin sighed out, closing his eyes for a moment before opening them and noticed you had already began heading that way. He perked up and followed along close behind you. You two have met each other through scout training. You were just as lost as he was, and had became close friends during those years of training. You were also acquaintances with Eren and Mikasa, but felt you were closest to Armin due to his kind nature and good thinking. You were considered to be a bit stronger than him when it comes to fighting Titans, but Armin was shown to be a good leader and thinker for the group. Everyone noticed that.
