Background

Hitomi was born in a regular loving family, made up of her parents and her twin sister Monomi, with who she shared a quirk called "Linked Vision": this quirk allowed them to see what the other was seeing when they closed one eye. The twins were very close, they practiced rhythmic gymnastic together and shared the dream to become a pair of support heroes. When the girls were attending the last year of middle school, a mysterious villain attacked the city where they lived and caused troubles everywhere; lots of Pro Heroes came to stop the villain but all the effort seemed to be in vain. Endeavor then showed up and decided to act with brutality: to stop the villain, he attacked him with a powerful fire attack, ending up setting a building on fire. The villain was defeated and captured, but lots of innocent citizens were trapped in the building, including Hitomi and her family. The Flame Hero and the other heroes went into the building to rescue the citizens, however it was too late for some of them and Hitomi was the only one in her family who survived. Her aunt Yuriko became her guardian, but she was out of home most of the time working as a doctor in an hospital so Hitomi spent a lot of time alone, which she spent reading her aunt's medical books. She fell into depression and had no drive to live anymore: she started suffering from anorexia and stopped going to school, going out with friends, practicing sport, she also couldn't use her quirk anymore after her sister's death and believed to be left quirkless. When she was 15/16, her aunt suggested her to return back to school to fulfil her childhood dream but Hitomi rejected, stating it would have been pointless without her sister. She then spent 1 year in rehab to recover from anorexia. When she was 18 she got physically better but was still mentally unstable and kept having breakdowns. One day she casually found out that her quirk did not disappear, instead it evolved and became "X-Rays Vision", which allowed her to see through any object. After this discovery, Yuriko once again encouraged her niece to go to a hero school and in the attempt to convince her she showed her reports about Pro Heroes on TV. Hitomi didn't take it well: she ranted about how rotten their society was, always relying on "heroes" to save the day and get all the credits for stopping crimes, when in truth they caused even more harm in the attempt to do "good things" and fought just for their own vainglory and money, and people were too desperate and blind to realise that. It was after watching a report about Endeavor that Hitomi decided to stand for her own ideology: she wanted to make Heroes pay for their arrogance by destroying their society, defeating them and making them fail in front of difficulties. Aunt Yuriko didn't support Hitomi's idea and sent her away from her home. Without a place where to stay, Hitomi started earning money with little jobs as cashier in convenience stores and working as a mercenary to spy on and do little crimes against Pro Heroes. During one of her missions as mercenary, Hitomi was contacted by the League of Villains and shared with them her own opinion on Heroes; she was offered to join the team and accepted, believing that working with people with similar ideologies would have helped her to achieve her personal revenge.

Personality

Positive: extrovert | sociable | affectionate | supportive
Negative: rancorous | insincere | jealous | indecisive
Neutral: moralistic | objective | careful | disruptive
Personality: Hitomi has a strong hatred toward Pro Heroes, specially Endeavor, who she sees as the responsible for her family's death. Despite this, she isn't quite the typical "Villain" herself and follows her own morality: she doesn't kill Heroes, all she desires is to sabotage them and make them fail (though she seems not to mind it if others kill them), and she has no will to fight and hurt civilians. She is an usually extrovert girl who likes socialising and getting attentions. She doesn't like conflicts between friends and allies and she's willing to accept compromises to avoid disagreements and over-heated discussions. Because of this, she will tell lies or suppress her desires in order to maintain balance around herself. When justice is threatened, she will react violently: in fact she has a strong ideal of justice and she will fiercely fight for it. Once she gets close to someone, she tends to be jealous when she feels them indifferent toward her. She is affectionate toward the ones she loves and is always ready to use her medical knowledge to heal and help the ones who are hurt. She might be of average cleverness, but her caution is what characterises her: she is very careful about the consequences of her actions and will never act impulsively. When she has to make sudden decisions or she's facing a difficult situation, she can be rather indecisive. When she's angry, she won't show it in first place and will tell what's wrong only if asked.

Likes: bunnies, cute and fashionable clothes and accessories, puddings and sweet food, Jpop music
Dislikes: people who are ruthless by nature, fire, TV reports about heroes
Hobbies: pastry-making, reading (specially medical books)

Quirk and Abilities

Quirk: X-Rays Vision
Type: Emitter
Description: when looking with her right eye only, Hitomi is able to see through objects as a radiography. This allows her to notice the presence of people, animals and objects even if they're hidden. When not using the quirk, her right eye is blind.
+ Strengths:
- Very useful for spying
- Can be used for medical purposes
- Allows her to detect the presence of hidden people and objects

- Weaknesses:
- Not very useful in actual fights
- Not effective on lead and concrete walls
- Will make her eye itchy if used for too long
- Only works when she keeps her left eye closed

Abilities: enhanced agility and balance, enhanced stealth skills, good medical knowledge.

Stats:
- Power: 1/5 E
- Speed: 5/5 A
- Technique: 4/5 B
- Intelligence: 3/5 C
- Cooperativeness: 3/5 C

Equipment:
1) Knife: Hitomi is not very strong physically, that's why a weapon like this can be very useful for self-defence.
2) Spy earpiece: useful to communicate to her allies what she sees.
3) Smoke-bombs: to use if an enemy comes too close. By using her quirk, Hitomi can easily evade the smoke and leave the opponent behind.

Relationships

Family:
Aunt: Yuriko Takami | Quirk: Photographic Memory | Occupation: medical doctor
Yuriko is a pragmatic and serious woman who doesn't accept compromises. She can be strict, although it's just to push others to do their best and to never be shallow. She likes reading detective stories and is passionate about true crime. She doesn't get along with her niece too much due to their completely different tastes and personalities. Her quirk allows her to perfectly recall any written information she has read in her life.

Sister: Monomi Miru (deceased) | Quirk: Linked Vision | Occupation: student
Hitomi and Monomi were very close and considered each other their best friend. Just like her sister, Monomi was extrovert and sociable, but didn't care to get too much attention to herself. She liked cats, going shopping and doing pranks by switching place with Hitomi.

Father: Shiryoku Miru (deceased) | Quirk: See Through | Occupation: architect
Shiryoku was a shy architect who got easily flustered around people complimenting him. He liked going at the gym and was rather fit, but didn't like to get eyes on him for his appearance. He was gentle and a bit clumsy, and was passionate about arts history. His quirk let him see through any material, allowing him to view any "layer" of material he wanted.

Mother: Atsuko Miru (deceased) | Quirk: Shared Vision | Occupation: barista
Atsuko was Yuriko's younger sister. Due to their very different tempers, they've never been really close: Atsuko was very lively and chatty, loved fashion, sports and making new friends. She was very flirty and had lots of fun provoking Shiryoku after they met for the first time. Her quirk allowed her to share what she was seeing with any person she happened to chat with within the previous hour. She lost her life in a fire, together with her husband and daughter.
