We eventually made our way to the back seat and started
After we finished we got dressed and realized more cars were pulling in
Ag jumped in the front so we wouldn't look suspicious and while no one was looking I did too "you parked us at a fucking church" "you were teasing me I parked at the nearest place I could"
The pastor walked out and started greeting everyone
I grabbed one of Ags notebooks as he walked towards our car
I got out and said "hi I'm doing a study for school I've been going to different churches around town and asking if they are supportive of the LGBTQ+ community"
Ag got out of the car and walked over by me "we respect them but we do not agree with their choice"
Ag cluched her fist "why do you believe it's a choice" "god makes no one that way they must choose it themselves we do not allow their kind in our church" "OUR KIND YOU KNOW WERE FUCKING HUMANS TO AND I DIDN'T FUCKING CHOOSE TO BE GAY BECAUSE IT NOT A FUCKING CHOICE YOU THINK I FUCKING CHOSE FOR MY DAD TO HATE ME"
Ag started tearing up "baby"
I grabbed her and hugged her "you guys need to leave you are not welcome here" "why because the bible says so what's so threatening about us we don't even do anything but date the same gender change our genders date two people at once and other things but why does it matter to others like yourself why do you care so much about how we spend our lives" "because it not natural it's man and woman not man and man" "you didn't answer my question why does it matter to you"
I kept holding Ag and she was still crying "it matters because I don't want to see homosexuality and it's becoming bigger and more people are choosing to be gay and I don't want the people I love around that"
Ag looked up "once again not a fucking choice"
He walked away and Ag just held onto me "I fucking hate people like that it reminds me of my past" "I know love come on"
I walked her over to the car and opened her door I drove us home and kept my hand on her leg the whole time "I was so close to hitting him" her hands were shaking "just like I hit my dad" "Ag" "he didn't even try to hear me out he just kept arguing and then I punched him he looked at me and then slapped me and hit me in the stomach later that night my mom came home and found out and kicked him out I haven't seen him since so about 3 years now" she was still shaking and a tear rolled down her face I started rubbing her leg with my thumb it usually calmed her down
We got home and I went to her side and grabbed her hand and we walked inside
I made a bed on the floor in the living room so we could watch movies
I put her favorite on and then just held her until she fell asleep
I kept my arms around her and then dozed off
