At early morning, I woke up and started barking. Mom turned to her other side and told me to keep quiet and sleep. Ammu and dad were deep in sleep. 'Woof woof!' I barked again, this time loud enough to pierce someone's ears. "UGHHHH!" mom groaned, stood up and caught her hips "sleep, Toby!"
I whimpered, showing that I was not being a bad boy, but that I was hungry. Mom picked me up and went to the kitchen. I didn't exactly know where my food was kept so I just sat in front of mom, in the "cute puppy who needs food" position. Mom immediately understood like she had already seen a dog do this before. Wait, did they really have a dog before? I mean, when I smelled everyone and my dog toys, I got the smell of a dog. Then where is it?
I watched as mom took out a can of puppy food and poured it inside my plate. I looked in and got shocked. How did she know exactly the same amount of food I wanted? Now I really do believe that they had/have a dog. But where is he now?
Mom moved the plate towards me and said "Eat". I did know that word too, and of course, people don't need to tell dogs to eat. They'll do so even without saying!🤣
Anyways, I smelled the food and began eating. This was a food I had never tasted before, and it was not really tasty. "Do you like this, Toby? It's your new baby food, royal canine." mom said. I didn't exactly understand what she said, but I did understand that she told the name of the food.
Later, Ammu also woke up. She ran up to me and cuddled me, saying "Aw good morning Tobs!". I wagged my tail, happy that she greeted me first thing in the morning. Dad had already left just before Ammu had woke up, and he waved me a good bye before going to his work.
A while later I was napping, Ammu was on her phone and mom on her computer. I was bored. But that didn't last for long. Mom suddenly said "how about playing with Toby now?". Ammu nodded, jumped up and picked me up. We 3 went downstairs where grandpa and grandma greeted me. "Hey, Toby! Do you want to play?" grandpa asked. I wagged my tail, agreeing.
We 4 went outside and I sniffed around madly on the sitout floor. "Oh, get him on the ground, Ammu! He needs to go to the toilet!" Mom yelled. Ammu hurried and got me on the ground, and there I sniffed around again and peed. Then I went towards the gate and looked out through the gap between the gate and ground, where I saw people walk past. I kept wagging my tail as I so badly wanted to be out with them all. Mom and Ammu walked towards me and smiled. Grandpa said that he might've to keep the gap where I was looking through filled, fearing I might crawl out through it since I was small. But only I knew that my stomach was too big to crawl out through this tiny gap😂.
By afternoon, the others had sat in the dining room and was watching TV. I too tried to watch it, but I didn't understand what was happening in it. Grandma took the lunch for everyone and by that time, I had already sat in front of them in the "cute puppy who needs food" position. Grandpa laughed and said "just like Coco! Coco used to sit infront of me for food and this one does the same!". I slightly tilted my head, curious to know who Coco was. Was he the dog they had before me?
Grandpa started giving my his food and I gobbled it gladly. Yes! It was chicken!
Ammu also gave me after grandpa's food finished, and after all the food had finished, I drank some water and then began to nap.
After everyone had washed their plates, they sat watching TV again. A while later, mom brought me upstairs to our room and pointed to my bed and said "sleep. Good night".
I didn't understand that, but I did understand that it might've something to do with my bed. So I went to sleep. Ammu was the only one awake, as grandparents had went to nap too.
In the evening, dad returned, and the first thing he received was my love jumps and bites. He and the others laughed at my excitement, then stopped me from biting. I kept on biting, but stopped when dad showed me a big, long treat!
I jumped up, got it and began chewing on it. He gave me more of it and I ate them, and later we all were sitting in the living room, watching TV again.
When they began having their dinner, I jumped on the sofa and bit mom. She yelled at me to stop, but I didn't as I was hungry. "Do you think he is too aggressive for us to handle? He might not exactly be like Coco as he is a pugzu, not fully pug. Should we give him back?" Mom asked dad. My heart sank.
Do they hate me? Am I too much of a biter? Do they love this dog called Coco more than me? If so, why did they have to buy me and not be with Coco? What is the actual story here?
I finally stopped biting and went to sleep, sad that mom told like that. I heard Ammu say "Aw, look at him. So cute. He will soon change, I know."
Mom also nodded, and dad too. I was happy again, but still slept.
