It was the last week of summer. Calypso and I were preparing to go back to Hogwarts when we received a letter. My favorite cousin and one of my only living relatives had been murdered by a Death Eater that was never sent to Azkaban. Said Death Eater was awaiting trial at the ministry. This made me even angrier. A murderer was getting a trial but an innocent man didn't? I freaked out over this and Calypso had to call Remus to calm me down. Once I had calmed, we discussed our plan of action. Calypso would go to school late since she was friends to my cousin's daughter, Susan Bones, and wanted to be at the funeral with Susan. We decided it would be too much of a leap, going to the trial, so we passed that offer. A/N: I know Susan's father dies much later but I kinda needed some activity it the earlier years since Voldemort isn't back yet. ;) Calypso had somehow, considering she's so tiny, outgrown all of her black clothes, therefore, we went shopping. We took Susan and Amelia with us, in hopes of brightening there spirits, if only a little. The four of us made a whole day out of it. We went to a muggle mall at about 11:00, shopped for funeral clothes, to get it over with, ate lunch at the food court at noon, went to Justice to get the girls a little something special at 12:30, Calypso wanted to get back-to-school gifts for her friends, as well as something for Susan at 1:40, Amelia and I took the girls to the bookstore so they could get books to read while Amelia and I shop for ourselves at 2:20, found them a place to sit and read while we shopped at 3:00, and went home at four. Two days later, it was time for the funeral. We were wearing all black: Calypso had a lace-topped black dress on and a simple black bow in her curly, blonde, waist-high hair. She spent most of her time comforting Susan while I comforted Amelia and tried to keep people from constantly saying 'I'm sorry for your loss' when we all knew it was just pity.
