"Samchon?", Yoongi says, confused, as soon as he opens the door, having heard the bell going off. He hadn't expected to see Jungkook on the other side of the door, at this time, too.

"Hi, Yoongi-ah. Can I come in?", Jungkook asks, shivering a little, sounding sheepish. Yoongi's eyes widen, realizing just now that it's freezing outside and Jungkook isn't even wearing a coat.

"Oh my god, sorry. Please come in", he says quickly, moving to the side and holding the door open for Jungkook. The older man quickly gets in, sighing in relief when the heat emitting from the Air Conditioner finally hits him.

"Samchon, I'm not trying to be rude but what are doing here at this time? And like this?", Yoongi questions, frowning, pointing at Jungkook's thin white button up and black slacks. They're barely keeping him from the cold.

Jungkook coughs in embarrassment. "Can you call Seokjin hyung or Hobi hyung, Yoongi-ah?", he asks instead. Yoongi pouts at him but nods anyway, going upstairs to ask his parents to come out.

Seokjin and Hoseok appear quickly, with Yoongi in tow. By the way Seokjin is still tying his robe, Jungkook hopes he didn't disturb anything. It doesn't seem like he did, though. If a warmly dressed Hoseok is anything to go by.

"Jungkook-ah, what are you doing here so late?", Seokjin asks worriedly, coming forward to sit down in front of him. "And why are you still awake?", Hoseok asks Yoongi before Jungkook can answer. The youngest sputters at being put on the spot.

Seokjin sighs. "You were writing songs again, weren't you?", he questions. Yoongi's blush gives him all the answers he needs. "Yoongi, how many times have we told you that you don't need to lose sleep over your lyrics. You can write in the morning, baby", he says gently, a little groggy with sleep.

"I'm sorry, Appa", Yoongi mumbles, ashamed. Hoseok clicks his tongue to wave him off. "It's alright, honey. Go to sleep. We're here with Jungkook Samchon", he assures and that's all Yoongi needs to scramble back to his room.

That being out of the way, the couple then turn towards their brother-in-law.

"So... Care to explain?", Seokjin starts, Hoseok joining him to look at Jungkook expectantly. The latter huffs dramatically. "I forgot my coat in the train", he says. Seokjin snorts. That doesn't surprise him at all. He's used to Jungkook's antics by now.

"But that still doesn't explain why you're here instead of your own home. Weren't you supposed to go straight there after coming back from Ilsan?", Hoseok questions, obviously being the rational one.

Jungkook lets out another dramatic huff. "I lost my coat, hyung. I told you. It had my wallet, too. All my polaroids, my money, phone. Everything was in there. I only had enough money to get a taxi to your apartment, it's nearer to the station", he explains.

Seokjin nods in understanding but Hoseok seems puzzled. "Didn't Joon come to pick you up? I thought he would", he says. Jungkook feels guilt churn in his stomach at that. He had fought with Namjoon for no reason whatsoever.

"He offered, hyung. I got annoyed and he just hung up. I don't think I wanna talk to him right now", he mutters under his breath. It's still audible to his in laws, though.

"Jungkook, come on. That's not being a responsible adult. Namjoon might be worried for you. I know him. And think about Tae and Min, they must be missing you. Let me drop you home", Seokjin says the last part softly, wanting to persuade Jungkook but not force him.

Jungkook doesn't say anything for a hot minute before he finally sighs in defeat and nods. Maybe it is time to go back. And Seokjin is not wrong. Namjoon might be worried right now. And it was just a silly little disagreement after all.

"Don't think we don't want you here, okay? It's just for the sake of everyone. You'll feel better at home. Oh, and let me bring you a coat. You're not going out of my house naked", Hoseok huffs, rushing upstairs.

"I'm not naked!", Jungkook yells after him but it falls on deaf ears. Soon enough, Seokjin returns with the car keys and Hoseok returns with a big, fluffy coat. Jungkook puts it on, sighing happily at the warmth.

"Let's go?", Seokjin says, smiling at the look of utter relief on Jungkook's face. The man must've really been cold as heck all this time. He presses a kiss to the corner of Hoseok's mouth, mumbling a quiet "be right back" against it.

Jungkook's hopelessly romantic heart melts at sight of it even as he pretends to gag at the gesture. He knows that the both of them know he's just fooling around. They've known him long enough for that.

"Good night, hyung", Jungkook says to Hoseok, hugging him. "Yah, your hands are cold!", Hoseok complains when Jungkook squishes his cheeks with the back of his hands, purposefully trying to annoy him.

The younger just laughs. It's at times like these when he gets to find his young self, the childish side of him that seems to have gotten lost between his job, husband, kids and all the other duties he's required to fulfill every single day. It's starting to wear him out.

"Jungkook-ah, we're here", Seokjin says, gently jostling Jungkook when he realizes he has zoned out. Jungkook blinks rapidly. Huh? When did he even climb into the car. He shakes his head, smiling at Seokjin.

"Hyung, thank you for driving me here. Wanna come in for tea?", Jungkook asks as he gets out of the car. Seokjin shakes his head. "No, it's okay. Tell Namjoonie and the boys I said hi. Good night, Jungkook-ah", he says and drives off after Jungkook returns his greetings.

When Jungkook rings the doorbell, he waits for the door to open and for his husband to come yelling at him for being so late and careless.

What he doesn't expect is for Namjoon to throw himself on him as soon as his face comes to view.
