" Do you call this runny liquid coffee? Is this what has been taught to you in University?" Shahrayaar yelled at his intern who was giving him murderous looks.
" I'm sorry Sir, but between measuring the campus lengths while running around for lectures and designing buildings, I might have forgotten to attend Home Science 101" the girl sassed and Shahrayaar could do nothing about it.
" Well, while you're here I'll make sure you learn how to make a decent coffee and also the basics of Keeping Your Boss Happy" it was his time to smirk as she huffed at his audacity.
There were four other interns present as well who were looking at them with mild curiosity but the most predominant expression in their eyes was of fear for this stupid girl who was ramming horns with the boss on the first day itself.
" I need the blueprints of the new restaurant building, hand drawn by lunchtime" Shahrayaar dismissed them with the flick of his hand and everyone scampered out of the cabin as fast as they could save for the one intern who was breathing fire.
" Yes Miss Inaaya, do you need a special written order? I mean I could do that" Shahrayaar had a twinkle in his eyes and the girl stomped her foot before walking out with enraged steps.
" Oh what fun what fun" he leaned back on his chair and laughed at the girl.
" Faris, ask the interns to come in my office" Shahrayaar called up his Personal Assistant as he eyed a particular girl from the glass.
" Yes Sir?" She walked in without knocking and he gave her an irritated look.
" I didn't know I'll have to babysit a spoiled lot of children who don't have even the most basic manners" Shahrayaar looked pointedly at the group of five people.
" Go back outside and knock. You can only enter when you're allowed to" he issued a stern order and the scaredy cats obliged, save for the one girl who banged his door on exit.
She knocked furiously until they heard his faint response.
" Miss Inaaya, your father did not pay for my doors for you to be so violent with them" Shahrayaar taunted her and she gave him a smirk of her own.
" Actually Sir, he did" she crossed her arms on her chest and dared him to deny it but immediately lowered her arms as she saw him eyeing her chest.
" Pervert" she mumbled under her breath.
" Did you call us here to talk about your doors?" She was running short of patience when it came to this exasperating man.
" No I called you here to talk about your incompetence and to make an example out of your outrageous work of what a blueprint shouldn't look like" Shahrayaar showed the group of interns her design which she had so painstakingly hand drawn.
" If you're off by two millimeters in your designs then your building is off by two centimeters and that leads to it being unbalanced and do you want me to go into the details about it's consequences?" He said in a no nonsense tone.
Inaaya looked down embarrassed as he threw the design in the trash.
" I need a new one within an hour" Shahrayaar consulted his watch and dismissed them.
The interns breathed a sigh of relief as they weren't targetted and the girls even went as far as snickering, for Inaaya was being the center of attention since this morning and they didn't like it.
Inaaya left with a determined look on her face but not without banging his office door first.
Shahrayaar peeked from his glass wall and saw Inaaya working on the designs diligently. The silly girl had even foregone the lunch hour and was dead set on proving herself.
