" Nawu, where's Daniyaal?" Aabaan asked his sister as he was leaving for the masjid.
" Waiting for his Mamu" Nawar laughed as she let her brother in her room.
The siblings laughed at their little darling who looked cute enough to eat in his miniature white pathani and white thread knit topi.
What had their hearts melting was the adorable expression on his face indicating that he was naaraaz.
" Dani, let's go" Aabaan held out his hand for his three years old nephew who just crossed his arms on his chest and turned his head away from his Mamu.
" No!" He said stubbornly.
" But we'll be late" Aabaan sat beside him and tried to pacify his sweet boy.
" No. I want Baba" He demanded.
" Baba is already at the masjid waiting for us" Aabaan tried to hold him but the stubborn little boy just resisted.
" Why didn't he take me?" He pouted at his Mamu and Aabaan felt himself falling in love with this beautiful boy all over again.
Daniyaal would forever be special for him.
" Because Baba wanted to get Dani his favorite spot behind the Imam Saheb and don't you want to meet your friends too?" Aabaan finally held him and the adorable little human looked thoughtfully at him.
" So Baba didn't forget me?" He held his Mamu's face and asked.
" Of course not! Dani is Baba's favourite little man and he wanted to make sure that his special boy gets to meet all his friends on Eid and that's why he went there early asking Baan Mamu to bring you" Aabaan stood up with the little boy in his arms as he made way out of the room.
Nawar laughed silently at her son who had taken up the Khaandaani Business of Draameybaazi at such an early age.
It was the special occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr and Usaamah had left early in the morning for some work. He would have no time to come home and then visit the masjid reason why he had asked Aabaan to bring his baby boy along with him.
Aabaan and Meezaan with Daniyaal in his lap, sat in the front while Shahrayaar, Zaman and Zayn were in the backseat. They had a big goofy smile on their faces as the littlest Hamdaani boy kept them entertained with his non-stop chattering.
Aabaan felt his breath hitch when he saw her. His person of interest, his little lady.
Zumurrud Hisham Qadri.
She was embracing everyone with the customary Eid greetings and Aabaan had never felt more jealous of his own mother and Chachis!
His prim and proper lady looked sensational in the white chikankaari dress with a silver thread embellished dupatta on her head, partly covering her dark brown hair.
His own eyes reflected with the warmth that he saw in her hazel ones as she laughed softly at something that Manaar whispered in her ear, her cheeks flaring with the red blush.
Zumurrud has been a part of his family ever since she was a little baby and he was thankful for his Zoh Chachu and Nani'mmi for going to dinner that one night all those years ago.
If not for them he would never have met the love of his life.
That's right, Aabaan has been irrevocably in love with Zumurrud ever since he has first seem her when she was a wee old baby and now when she was all grown up he felt his heart beat even stronger for his lady love.
Although what was troubling his mind was that he had never voiced his feelings, neither to her nor his family. But that's what he thought because unbeknownst to him Zumurrud also had a little crush on him and that's exactly what his sister was teasing her about.
