Elijah's POV

I face down my eyes meeting the soft white tiles. Slowly, I can feel my heart breaking as I lift my head up, to be met with her fading deep blue orbs, as she offers one of her lovely heart warming smiles. My heart starts to shatter as I met her sweet yet distant smile as I observe her quiet form. I start to realize her breathing start to fade, fresh tears start to run freely down my face. Whispering, I start to call out her name "Ava....A-ava" but to no avail her responses start to slow, until I see her share her final smile and she mumbles "It'll be ok."

I started to zone out as the reality of the situation set in. 'She's gone' was the only thought that played in my head. Abruptly I was brought back to reality when the nurses started to rush in and yell out for help.

Hesitantly, I was escorted by one of the nurses out of the once peaceful room into the chaos of the hallway. All I could see was Doctor's rushing to Ava's rescue. All of a sudden Ava's parents make their way over to me and pull me into a soft embrace. As we break away Ava's mum with a small sad smile says "It'll be ok."
