"They have amnesia, we don't know how it happened..." Makoto says.
"What?" I ask.
"They- They don't remember anything after entering Hope's Peak, so they don't remember any of you..." Makoto says sadly. He can't look me in the eye. I'm speechless. I don't know- Why did this... I-
"Our best guess is that a glitch caused the Neo World Program to re-erase their memories, the only way for her to get them back is if-"
"We put her back into the program?" I ask.
"No. If we induce it unaturally. We could induce memories, but it's a very painful process. Hina-chan tried to have it done so she could remember what happened before the killing game, but... it was too painful and we couldn't give her all her memories." Makoto says.
"It's up to you Fuyuhiko..." Makoto says. It's weird they're leaving it up to me, considering Hajime and Makoto are her family. I don't want her to go through pain... but I don't want her to not ever remember the memories we made together.
"Do it Makoto-kun." I say.
"Are you sure?" he asks.
"Yeah." I say.
"Alright, if you're completely sure," Makoto says. "We'll do it tonight,"
