Only just begun

You were awoken by a very exited Hermione. It was the first day of sixth year so of course she was eager to get back to learning."Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up!" She exclaimed while smacking you with a pillow. You were awake but didn't open your eyes. She continued to wack you yelling at you all the while.

You quickly lunged out and grasped her leg in your hands and yanked. The forward momentom yanked her forward. With a shriek of protest she went tumbling over your bed landing with a thud on the floor.

"Ow!" She whined.

Ron came bursting through the doors with a worried look on his face. He was still in his pajamas, a sleeveless tank top and some pants.

When he saw you laughing at Hermione while she was laying on the floor rubbing her elbow, he cocked his head sideways at you.

"Im so confused..." he said.

"She woke me up so I flipped her over the bed." You contered beaming.

He chuckled and helped Hermione up. Ginny was getting ready for class when she walked out and saw you guys.

"Are you guys waiting for Dumbledore himself to drag ya'll to class?" She exclaimed. Ron left to get ready as Ginny walked out the door. Hermione stood up and got ready as well.

You changed out of your sweatshirt and shorts and into your uniform. Hermione walked with you to breakfast.

Ron was already there stuffing his face. You say down and ate as well.Harry and Ginny were already eating while talking about Quidditch. You sat by Ron with a "Ello" making fun of the accent.

"Hello" he countered back in an American accent. You couldn't help but laugh at this.
You put your hand on his arm in brief appreciation.

After breakfast you had Divination. You had always been pretty good at it. Since you were little you read what you thought were fake sighns out of your magic orb ball you had. You always liked playing with your closest cousin Isabell. You had like to pretend you were a witch. You had never guessed that you were a real witch. You and Izzy's (that was her nickname) favorite thing to play was with your Littlest pet shops.

You took your assigned seat in the back row.Ron sat the next row over with Hermione. Ginny was in her fifth year so you didn't have any classes together. Cedric Diggory sat next to you. You faintly saw out of the corner of your eye Ron's very clear jealous face. You could tell he didn't like you sitting next to him. Ron always was a bit of the jealous type.

"Hello y/n!" Cedric said taking his seat."Its been to long.How was your summer?" Quite boring actually you said relishing that none of your friends asked you that.

"How was yours?" You said smiling. You didn't want to become to close with him. He was really sweet, charming, and cute, but one of your close friends Lorelei was in live with him so you didn't want to develop a crush. He went on talking about his summer when the teacher walked in.

"Welcome back everyone" she said in her wispy voice spreading her arm out like she expected to fly away that moment.

She started the lesson by showing how yo spot an omen. She had you all practice on an orb,Your specialty.

You could tell that Cedric was getting frustrated.

Ron glanced over at yo uh to see Cedric lean over to your ear and whisper "How are you so good at this?" Ron was still watching infuriated.

You scrunched back  "ya spit on me" you spat scowling Draco style. Ron was clearly satisfied at how you reacted and turned back to his orb.

"Sorry" Cedric says while chuckling." 'S fine" you say getting back to work.

After class has ended you get up to leave and before Cedric can say anything Ron runs over " Hello y/n!" And with his hand on your back he ushers you out the door.

Cedric runs up behind you calling your name. You notice Ron scowling at his voice. You pay his pack reassuringly and whisper, "You fine" before turning around.

Your emedietly are met with his charming smile. "Hey Ced what up?" You ask.
He chuckles slightly and asks "Can I talk to you?" You turn to Ron and say" I'll meet you in Potions " with a smile. He returns it and walks off.

You turn to Cedric " Need somethin?"

" Actually yeah, I was wondering if you could help me with the Divination homework, since your so good at it and I dont really understand it?" He said nervously.

"Oh, yeah of course! Come by at like 7:30 tonight and I can help" you answered.

"Thanks so much!" he said beaming "I owe ya!"

" By the way, the password is tortious shell!" You shout walking to potions.

Soon enough it was time for lunch.

You sat down next to Ron. "What did Cedric want earlier?" Ron gushed looking worried.

You explained that he needed help with the homework and he'd come by to get help later. Ron looked less worried.

As Cedric enters the Gryffindor common room he sees you dozed off on the couch with Ron reading next to you. You were wearing your big baggy maroon and gold sweatshirt with the Gryffindor symbol on it.

Before he was noticed Cedric went back out the portrait hole and re-entered noisily. You sat up as Cedric came in.

"Sorry if I woke you" he said smoothly

"Nevertheless come sit down" you said sitting up."

Harry pulled Ron away and went outside to play some sort of game.

Cedric sat down beside you and asked "Mind if I sit?"
"Go ahead" you spoke getting out a quilt, ink and the homework.
Cedric chuckled " Nice shoes" he gestures to your bright red converse that didn't match your sweatshirt. You had put the journey logo on the sides.

His smile faded suddenly "Cho liked journey" Cho Chang was his girlfriend who died during the last task of the tournament. 

You felt that he needed to be comforted so you gave him a hug as a tear rolled down his cheek. He turned and hugged you back.
"S-Sorry, we should get started" he said his voice cracked.

Suddenly you didn't just see him as a stuck up charming gentleman, you saw that even though he hides it, he is hurting.

"Cedric," you said " If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here"

He nodded his head and you started working.

By the end of your studies he understood most of the work.

As he stood started towards the door he stopped and pulled you close to him in a hug." Thank you y/n for being there. But also, let's not tell anyone about what happened." Understanding you replied " Of course Ced" He slightly blushed when you called him that.

He waved goodbye and left. You decided to head to bed, you were exhausted.
